Angsty Angst

This is a rare post, my schedule got even more busy but in a good way. I scrambled to write this, hope you like it.

Peter Parker got close with the Avengers after they found out who he was. He mainly spent time with Tony in the labs. What they didn't know was that he had no family. Or that he lost his last remaining family member a month ago and that he was still living in the same apartment and struggling to find rent. 

Peter walked to the Avengers Tower after school as usual. He went up to the lab and saw that Bruce was also there. 

"Hey Underoos! We're gonna test your powers today!" Tony said. Peter smiled and dropped his backpack in the corner. They worked on different experiments such as strength, peppermint, bug spray (which almost caused an allergic reaction), and spidey sense. We went upstairs to get a snack while the DNA test was being processed. 

"Hey Peter, don't forget your backpack." Tony said and threw Peter's backpack at him. 

"Thanks." Peter said. A piece of paper fell on the ground. Tony picked it up as Peter ran up the stairs. It was the rent notice for the apartment that he and his Aunt lived in. Tony followed him upstairs and put the piece of paper in his pocket.

"Perfect timing, I thing this batch is cool enough." Bucky said while pointing to a batch of cookies. Peter reached for one but Tony was quick enough to grab the one he was reaching for.

"I have to make sure it's not poisoned." He said and took a bite.

"HAHT HAHT!!!" He yelled.

"No! Not that batch! The on next to it! C'mon Stark now we have one less cookie to enjoy!"

"Ut you have undeds." Tony said.

"I don't understand burnt tongue, Stark!" Bucky said.

"But you have hundreds." Pepper said as she walked by. 

"Mrs. Pepper, how do you do that?" Peter asked.

"He has burnt his tongue so many times I'm surprised that he hasn't burnt it off." Pepper said and then she entered the elevator and went to her office.

"I have to go ask Pepper a question, I'll be right back." Tony said and went upstairs to visit Pepper. While Tony went upstairs Bruce and Peter ate the not burning hot cookies.  

"Hey, do you have a meeting?" Tony asked.

"No, what's wrong?"

"It's Peter. I found the rent check in his bag. Can we check that everything's okay?" He asked.

"Yeah. But not now, he's happy. Put the check back in his bag and take something else. We'll stop by later and say that he forgot it." Pepper said. 

"You're a genius!"

"I'm 12% of a genius." 

"Seriously, you're still pulling my leg about that!" Tony said. 

"Yes. Now go, I have a company to run." She said and Tony left. The three of them went back to the lab. They looked over the results and learned that Peter would most likely die when sprayed with spider repellent. 

"We should probably make an anti-spider repellent thing for me." Peter said. They got to work and while Peter went to test if he really could carry 10 tons. Tony went to Peter's bag and grabbed his algebra book.

"Tony! What are you doing?" Bruce asked. Tony explained the whole situations to Bruce.

"So, yeah, it just doesn't add up. He also does school, the internship, Spider-Manning, and he has to have a job." Tony said.
