aurora rising one shots, volume one.

Sleeping

"Look, Auri, there's literally nowhere else for you to sleep." Ty says.

"I could've slept on the floor!" I cry out.

"Yeah, but that's not comfortable."

"Ty-"

"No. Your sleeping with Kal at the moment, while we find you a proper place to sleep."

I sigh.
"Yay."

I trudge to his room, and he's not there.
I bend down and pick up a hoodie that's lying on the floor and pull it on.

What? I don't have any clothes.

I take out my Uni and sit down on the floor, crossing my legs.
I pull up the 'videos' tab and click on Horror Movies.

I choose a weird looking one called 'Deep Space' and start watching.

"Lucy! No, you idiot."
"Oh for fricks sakes if you do that you'll die!"
"Called it!"

"Aurora? Why are you in my room?" Kal asks.

"Shiz, sorry, Ty told me that I have to stay with you for the night." I say.

"Then why are you on the floor?"

"Because I'm sleeping here."

"No, your not."

He sweeps me into his arms bridal style, and lays me onto the bed.
"You may as well have a good night of sleep."

I think he's blushing.

I roll over on my side, my back facing Kal, and fall into a dark sleep.

I shoot awake in a cold sweat, ripping myself from the nightmare.

I take deep, shuddering breaths, and whisper to myself.
"My name is Aurora Jie Lin O'Malley. I'm seventeen years old. My name is Aurora Jie Lin O'Malley. I'm seventeen years old."

I keep on whispering that like it's the only thing that's keeping me from falling into the abyss.

"Aurora? Are you okay?" Kal asks.

"Sorry. Yeah. I'm okay."

"Did you have a bad dream?"

"A nightmare? Yeah. I did."

His eyes shimmer.
"Do you wish to talk to me about it?"

"I barely know you. No thanks."

"Are you sure?"

"Sure."

I rest my head down on my pillow, and look up at the dingy ceiling, and fall back asleep.

I wake up to find myself wrapped in Kals embrace.

He's not up yet, and this does feel kinda nice...

I think I'll just stay here a while.
