The girl with mismatched eyes POV

I walk through the blue pollen, calling out for someone. Anyone.

"Hello?!"
"Helloooooooo~?!"
"Is there anyone there?!?!"

The pollen covers my body, so I wipe my face.

"Hello?" I hear an unfamiliar voice call.
It's not the voice of the plants here, it's deep and sounds like melting chocolate.

"Hello? Is there someone there?"

"I am here!"

"Can you keep on calling to me?"

"I am here! Here!"

I brush aside thick pollen and see a figure.
"Is that you?"

"Yes! I am here."

He's like an elf, with pointed ears  m and shining silver hair that's done in five braids. His skin is flawless and olive-coloured, and he wears some sort of uniform.

"Who are you?" I ask him.

"My name is Kaliis Idraban Gilwraeth. And you?"

"Kaliis what now?"

He sighs.
"It's Kal for short."

"Oh. My name is Aurora Jie Lin O'Malley. But call me Auri."

"Auri..." He tests the word.
"How did you get here?"

"It must be some sort of wacked up Cryo dream."

"You are in CryoSleep? I just went to normal sleep."

"Mhm. I'm headed to Octavia III."

He pauses.
"That planet is under Galactic Interdiction. You cannot go there."

"And whose stopping me, hm?" I say, putting my hands on my hips.

"Me."

I change the subject.
"Are you some sort of body-modder? You must've had a pretty good surgery for those ears."

"I am Syldrathi."

"Oh, is this some sort of phase back on Terra?"

"No. I am from Evaa."

"Eva? Is that your girlfriend?"

"No-" He sighs, and I smile.

"So, do you come here often?" I ask.

"No? Why would I? This is just a dream."

"Mmmm, you suuure 'bout that?"

"I am sure."

"Positive?"

"You are quite annoying."

"So I've been told."

I can hear the faint beeping of a CryoPod being opened.
"This is my stop. Goodbye."

Kal grabs onto my arm.
"Will I see you again?"

"Why are you panicking? Your probably on the Octavia settlement, right? I'll see you soon."

And everything goes black.
