The girl with mismatched eyes POV

"What?!" I say, and turn around to face him at the end of the hallway.

He looks at me, silvery tears brimming in his eyes.
"It's called the pull. When- when my mother was assassinated, I felt that I would never know love again. But, then I met you."

I'm stunned. What do you say to someone that you have loved your whole life?

"And, spirits forbid that I scare you away, it's just..." He trails off, unsure of what to say next.

There's a war going on in my head. Should I tell him how I feel, or leave?

"I'm sorry, Kal." I say, and turn to leave, towards Lila and Moons room.

"Oh god." I sob on the bed, Moon and Lila stroking my hair and comforting me.
"I can't just leave him! I can't just leave you guys..."

"Well, you wouldn't leave us. We can forge an alliance, Illuminae and The Court of Stars." Lila says.

"But-"

"No. Get over yourself, you love him, don't you? Then go and tell him to join Illuminae. Have him in your life." Moon says. She's been quiet this whole time, but she can give damn good advice when it's needed.

I nod my head and wipe away my tears.
"I'll do it tomorrow, after I've talked to the group about him."

"Prepare to get bullied." Lila says, and punches my arm.

I laugh and grab a pillow, hitting her back.

Moon joins the pillow fight, whacking Lila in the head.

"Betrayal!" She shouts, and hits her back.

"Oh no you didn't!" Moon shouts, and whacks her in the arm.

I laugh as Lila hits Moon with a pillow, smearing Moons red lipstick.

"You guys are so cute!" I say as Moon wraps her pale arms around Lilas waist.

Moon smiles and Lila kisses her on the cheek.
"Well, duh. Moon is here." She says.

Moon blushes and smiles, looking up at her girlfriend.
