"Where are we going?" Rome asked as soon as they got into the car.
"That's a surprise." Dan winked. "But, it's not much."
Rome was surprised nonetheless. It was a picnic in the park that made Rome's day.
"Did you plan all of these on your own?" Rome laughed. "I didn't know you were such a romantic."
"Actually, Gia advised me." Dan replied as he scratched the back of his head.
"Gia?" Rome knew very little about Dan's life, so he did not know who she was, but he was sure they did not have anyone named Gia in school.
"Yeah, my ex-girlfriend." Dan said as he turned a little to hide his laugh.
"You-your ex?" Rome was unaware of anyone being in Dan's life before. He should have asked.
Dan's laugh confused Rome to no end. "She's my five year old cousin." He ruffled his hair. "And has a lot of ideas."
Dan's breath made goosebumps to break on Rome's body and shut his eyes in delight.
