It was around four in the evening, when Dan called Thomas to inform him about the party that was finally happening.
"I can't, man, not today." Thomas felt tired as he rubbed his eyes.
"You have to!" Dan shouted, excitedly, into the phone. "You're my only hope."
"What're you even talking about?" Thomas could not understand what the big deal. "I'm pretty sure you can manage your own party. Call Rick or Philip, they can help you."
"I've invited Rome-"
"Rome? Since when are you friends with Rome?" Thomas raised his eyebrows even when he knew his best friend could not see him.
"Since you're too stubborn to ask Zaide out." Dan simply replied.
Thomas choked on air.
