Thomas pulled away abruptly. His heart was beating rapidly inside his chest. He was almost sure Zara could hear the drumming sound when she looked at him weird, but then she smiled.
"You guys are done?" She asked happily. "You're so helpful, Thomas. Let me thank you properly."
Her words made Thomas cringe. She was trying so hard that it was sometimes awkward for him to pretend he did not notice what she was trying to do.
"Actually, most of the work was done by Zaide." Thomas said.
She laughed and he frowned, confused by her act. "You're so modest. Let me thank you by buying you lunch, yeah?"
She said and left to change her clothes.
