"I'm in my home." Zaide replied.
"When... whom did you go with?" Thomas asked. "I think your friends are all here."
"Alone. I'm fine, Thomas." Zaide's reassuring voice calmed Thomas' rapid heart beat.
"Good. Are you alone?"
Zaide looked around and leaned back, staring up at the sky. "Yup."
"Ok, I am coming." Thomas said as he got out of Dan's house.
"What?" Zaide stood up. "I mean mom and dad are home, of course."
"So?" Thomas asked as he got into his car.
"Huh?" Zaide could not find appropriate words to stop him. So? "So, they... they might..."
"They won't know." He smiled at Thomas' words.
