It was very emotional.
Abdul and Ana both realized what Zaide said was true. Deep down inside, they had been blaming themselves.
Like father like son. They were not so different after all.
Zaide was not ashamed to admit his sexuality and declared his love for Thomas in front of their parents. Abdul also refused to leave Ana and marry a girl of his parents' choice.
Abdul pulled his son up and hugged him. He sobbed for the first time and mourned for his stupidity.
"You're right. I shouldn't have let my anger cloud my judgement. Let's go home, son."
Zaide was shocked and so was Zara. Their dad finally faced the reality. Ana was ecstatic. Her family was whole again.
Zaide was smiling through his tears. He was happy that finally his dad had accepted him or as he had said he was "trying".
Thomas was happy for Zaide, but hated the fact that they would not be able to live under the same roof. He would miss Zaide who was just there, in his guest room.
That was a bittersweet moment for both boys.
