Nah, She Didn't

~ Part 20 ~ Truth or Dare ~

I lower myself onto his knees.

Why is this so difficult?

Why is everyone staring at me?

Am I moving in slow motion or is it all in my head?

And then I was sitting on his lap.

Everyone clapped. I roll my eyes exaggeratedly, and my cheeks turn the same color that James ears were.

"Alright, well now that that's settled," Sirius said with a smirk.

"What're we gonna do?" Marlene asked.

There was a pause.

"Well," Remus began. "How about truth or dare?" Sirius's eyes light up mischievously.

"Marauder style." Sirius says.

"What's Marauder style?" Alice asks.

"Well, before Sirius or James lie and get everyone to do something stupid, we don't have a 'Marauder Style' truth or dare," Remus says. Sirius rolls his eyes.

"Reeeeemus!" Sirius whined. "I was going to say that if you back down from a dare or truth you would have to kiss whoever we choose! That would've been genius, right?"

"I vote playing the normal way..." Mary trails off.

"I bet you Alice and Frank wouldn't mind Sirius's version," I say with a smirk. Then I realize I'm sitting very stiffly.

While Alice and Frank are blushing, and everyone else is teasing them, James mumbles to me, "You're tense."

"Well..." I can feel my pink cheeks become even more flushed. "I-I don't want to-"

James cuts me off with a chuckle. "Lily, do you honestly think you would even come close to outweighing me? Forgive me if I'm currently not being completely crushed by your weight." James laughs, but not meanly. "Just relax."

I hesitantly lean back a bit. He gently takes ahold of my shoulders, and pulls me back so that I am leaning against him. And Merlin, he's still taller than me! I'm like 5'2, and he's, like, above 6 foot!

"Uh... thanks..." I mumble.

Damn, this ride just gets awkwarder and awkwarder....

"Enough teasing me and Frank! Look at James and Lily over there all cuddled up!" Alice finally says, and I then tune myself into the conversation. When my mind processes what she'd said, I turn the color of a tomato. Lily, why do you blush so damn much? It's called hiding your emotions!

"Are we playing truth or dare, or not?" I ask, frowning.

"Fine, fine. Who wants to go first?" Alice asks.

"Ooh! Ooh! Me!" Sirius's yells. Everyone nods or grunts in agreement. "Okay..." He glances mischievously around the room. "Frank. Truth or dare?" Frank narrowed her eyes; knowing Sirius, either choice would be bad.

"Dare," he responds with a skeptical expression. A smirk creeps onto Sirius's face.

"Kiss Alice," Sirius says, not wasting any time. "No-snog Alice." The rest of us grin, staring at them expectantly.
