Chapter 42

A year and a half later~

"Maybe a pink or a red wedding gown. Don't go for other colors. " Eun Rim suggested Seulgi as they went to a tailor to get Seulgi's wedding hanbok made.
Seulgi and Baekhyun have now,after two years of seeing each other, finally decided to get married and start having a family of their own.
They were extremely happy with each other and couldn't wait to start a new life together.

Their wedding was dated to after a week and Eun Rim had gladly accepted Seulgi's proposal to help her out with the wedding dress.

"Okay. I'll get it ready by day after tomorrow. I really hope you'll like it,thank you princess Eun Rim and, Lady Seulgi" the tailor bowed to them as they smiled and left the shop.

After that, they went to the main palace to pick Eun Rim and Chanyeol's daughter,the one year old Sana, up who was playing with her dear uncles.

She was the most beautiful thing that had ever happened to Eun Rim and although the pain and trouble of pregnancy and the labour that accompanied it was terrible, Eun Rim wouldn't trade the feeling of being a mother with anything else.
Sana had eyes ,as big as her father's and a nose as sharp as her mother. She was a perfect blend between both their features.

But on rare occasions, Eun Rim would remember that her husband probably doesn't even know that he has a daughter . Eun Rim had by now become quite accustomed to being alone without Chanyeol and accepting what she has ,rather than holding on to something that might take a long time to happen. She often forgot there was a time when she used to fall asleep with Chanyeol's arms around her and his hot breath against her bare skin. She forgot the feeling of being loved in that way but, she was still patiently waiting for him.
She didn't care if it took him a century to come back,she just wanted him to come back.

"Oh. You're here, princess" Sehun said on seeing the two ladies enter their dorm. "Hi , Seulgi noona"
He guided them into the dorm and they finally reached Baekhyun and Taehyung,who were playing with Sana.
Sana sat on Baekhyun's lap as Taehyung stood in front of them , Making weird expressions. Sana laughed and so did Baekhyun and the whole room seemed to have lightened up.
"Sana. Ma's here!" Sehun said in a babyish tone as he went towards them. She followed right behind him and entered the room.

"Umm" Sana spoke, unclearly, thrusting her arms towards me,asking Eun Rim to carry her.
Eun Rim smiled at her Adorable daughter and immediately carried her in the arms. She was light as a feather and as soft as cotton,and soon Sana started to play with Eun Rim's hear, mumbling sounds under her breath.
Ever since Sana's birth,she has been the subject of everyone's love and attention. On her first birthday,she received tons of gifts from her Grandparents,her uncles, her uncles from Goryeo and obviously her mother. Eun Rim loved how her daughter was lucky enough to get love from so many people, including the mother's, something which Eun Rim bever got. She grew up without a mother and her father was usually always so busy ,he never had time for her or siblings.
She was thankful that Sana was getting so much love but deep down,she also wished Sana's father could give her all his love too. She didn't want her daughter to grow up without a father, either.

"Come on,let's go home now" she said to the little baby she was carrying in her arms. Sana sucked her small thumb as she looked at her mother.

"We'll drop you guys off. Let's go Baek" Seulgi said and grabbed Baekhyun's arm as he tried to get himself free from the tight grip of his future wife. Eun Rim laughed at the bickering couple and looked down at Sana,busy playing with Eun Rim's long hair.

Baekhyun and Seulgi dropped Eun Rim and Sana off at the Park household. The guards inside opened the gate for them.

"Eun Rim. What took you so long?" Auntie Min said to Eun Rim.

"Sorry, there was a LOT Seulgi made me do so I got late. Did I miss dinner?" Eun Rim asked.
Chanyeol's aunt took Sana into her arms as Eun Rim got changed.
"No, thankfully not" Auntie Min laughed.

The two women then chat over dinner and General Park played with Sana.

"Who's a good girl? My Sana is a good girl . Aren't you? " General Park exclaimed as he cradled Sana in his arms while she mumbled something and giggled whenever he does talked to her. General Park was a strong,sturdy old man but whenever he played with Sana ,he seemed to become another person. He was so gentle and sweet with Sana that sometimes Eun Rim wondered if Chanyeol was like his father too. The thought of Chanyeol and Sana being united gave  Eun Rim hope that someday,she would get to have the complete family that she had always imagined on having.

"What are you thinking, Eun?" Chanyeol's aunt asked Eun Rim as she noticed Eun Rim staring at Sana and general Park.

Eun Rim was brought back from her hopeful and desperate thoughts.
She smiled at auntie Min and shook her head,a little embarrassed.
"You miss him , don't you?" Auntie Min asked, looking a little sad.
Eun Rim had come to realize that auntie Min was so much more like a mother to her than any of Eun Rim's step mothers ever could be. Eun Rim could never hide anything from her.

"Sometimes,yes. " Eun Rim confessed. Auntie Min touched Eun Rim's hand and comforted her.
Eun Rim was thankful towards Auntie Min  ,general Park and Sana for making her life less gloomy and lonely but she knew that nothing, nothing could replace the sadness she felt without Chanyeol.

Got a cold and a fever but haven't felt this motivated to write in a long time.
