Chapter 25

Chanyeol's POV

It was a little after sunset when Baekhyun came to see me.
What I didn't know is he came with princess Eun Rim too.

She wore her usual clothes and had her hair in a ponytail,as she walked towards the jail bars. She looked beautiful like always.
She wrapped her hand around one bar and sighed, closing her eyes.

"I'm so so sorry,Yeol. I should have believed you. I should have done some research before jumping to conclusions. I was just so hurt thinking that you'd want to hurt the king and queen ,I just kind of lost it. I'm sorry."she said

Her eyes filled up with tears.
I was upset but I forgave her. It wasn't her fault. Minseok was at fault,not my Eun Rim. And I totally understood her situation. I was the reason she came here and if I turned out to be a bad person then she'd have nowhere to go.
"It's okay,princess. Its not your fault. Minseok hyung,that bastard-" she cut me off.

" I know. I know everything. We'll catch him. Don't worry. It'll be okay."she said. "I'll get you out of here"
Baekhyun smiled at us.

"Thank you. "I replied.
The princess and I looked at each other for the longest time and then she put her hand on my cheek,the one which she had slapped.
I flinched a little.

"I'm sorry about the slap too" she said.

I chuckled as I kissed her hand.

"Eww you two. Gross."I heard Baekhyun say.

We chuckled as Eun Rim backed away.

"We'll get going now. I'll see you soon" she said.
Baekhyun and the princess the left.

I didn't feel very lonely now. I had won Eun Rim back and there was nothing that made me feel better.

Eun Rim's POV

"Princess!" There was a knock on my door in the middle of the night. It sounded like Baekhyun.

I quickly got up and opened the door.
"What's wrong?" I asked as he came inside.

He showed me a piece of paper again.

"Queen Yoona is going to get another letter tomorrow morning. "He said.

I frowned. How was he so sure?

"I followed Minseok today and he went to a secret hut in a small village. I'm sure he was meeting up with our enemy."he said

"Then? what's this?" I asked, reading the paper out loud.

Dearest Queen Yoona

Hope you have been doing well.
It's come to my notice that you've  arrested knight Chanyeol thinking that he was my spy inside the palace .
But it's really sad, because my spy is still well and active inside the palace. It's my Earnest request to you to stop trying to find him.

I also hope you've been trying to convince your husband to step down as soon as possible because I cannot wait longer than this.

The handwriting was messy and didn't look the one I had seen previously.
" I wrote it. "Baekhyun said , sitting on a chair.

"Why?" I asked
"I have a plan he said" and I knew that we were a step closer to getting Chanyeol out.
