Goryeo's Princess || Exo Chanyeol

Chapter 14

The next few days went by like wind for princess Eun Rim. After her sudden confession to Chanyeol and Junmyeon's rejection,she decided to forget about it all as if it never happened.
She got herself busy with training the army and then with her sister's wedding preparation.
Often ,she found herself day dreaming about Chanyeol but she was quick enough to brush those thoughts away.

Tomorrow was supposed to be princess Yoona's wedding and Eun Rim was more than happy to finally bid farewell to the knights and not having to face Chanyeol. Or was she...

Her brother,Joo hyuk supported her decision of not getting married but her aunt was apparently very sad on finding that she liked Knight Chanyeol. Eun Rim remembered her words, "You and your mother never really fall for the right person"

Eun rim was just done with her early morning training and was getting ready for her sister's pre wedding ceremony,when she heard one of the guards say," Knight Chanyeol wants to see you,your highness"

Eun Rim froze. She didn't know if she was ready to face him. Or if she wanted to face him. She was scared.

"Let him in"it's not like she had any other option.

The doors opened and he entered looking as beautiful as ever.
He didn't tie his hair up so his hair fell across his shoulders. He wore a black hanbok . His eyes were twinkling and his pink,puffy lips were stretched in a small smile.
He was also carrying a brown bag with him.

"My greetings,your majesty" he said , bowing.
Eun rim just nodded. She didn't know what to say.
He hands the brown bag to the princess.
"What's this?" She asked.
She couldn't look into his eyes.

"Soaps. They all have different scents. I found them at the market so I thought I'd get them for you" he replied.
A warm feeling spread in Eun rim's chest. He got a gift for her.

"Thank you,I will use it well" she put the bag aside and finally looked at him and oh,she shouldn't have.

Chanyeol's eyes drilled into her eyes and the princess felt that she'd almost turn blind now. It was always the same way he looked at her;with awe.
They had an intense eye contact before Chanyeol broke it and sat beside her.

He cleared his throat.
"I'm sorry"he said. "I shouldn't have yelled at you that day. I was just confused and frustrated and broken. I really didn't mean to hurt you, princess. I wouldn't want that. "
Eun Rim smiled.
"It's okay,and I'm sorry too. I should have known the whole history of Junmyeon's family. "
"I should have told you before too" Chanyeol replied.
"Oh? About your mother? You didn't really have to . It's a painful memory" she said,patting his shoulder, relieved that he wasn't talking about the confession anymore.

"Not about her. " Chanyeol said and Eun Rim frowned.
"Then? "She asked

He sighed softly and came closer .
"I should have told you earlier that I liked you too" he said.
His eyes were sparkling and there was some sort of magic in them.

Eun Rim gulped hard . It was difficult for her to process all of this. Never in her life had ANY man ever made her feel this way. It was all new to her.
" Oh... that's great" she sounded like there was something in her mouth.

Chanyeol laughed ." You're cute, princess. Even cuter when you're flustered." He said and princess Eun Rim felt her cheeks flush.

And they were again caught in an intense eye contact. For the first time, the princess noticed that Chanyeol's eyes were a little darker than brown , giving it an unusual shine.
"I am going to kiss you and I expect you to not stop me" he said ,still intently looking at her. Chanyeol's heart was pounding against his chest and so was Eun rim's.
Chanyeol leaned in ,careful not to be too hasty.
Eun Rim stopped breathing a long time ago and she closed her eyes.

Chanyeol softly placed his lips on hers and stayed that way for a while before moving his mouth against hers. Eun Rim wasn't sure what to do exactly so she held Chanyeol's waist while he cupped her face as they deepedned the kiss.
Both of them were on the seventh heaven. Every time their lips parted a little from each other, they became desperate for them to come in contact again. Their noses were sliding against one another.
By the time the kiss ended,they were both out of breath .

Eun Rim looked flushed. Her cheeks were red and so were her ears.
Chanyeol took her hand and enterwined their fingers.

"I like you ,a lot. Princess" he said, kissing her cheek.

" I like you too, Chanyeol" she said, resting her head on his shoulder.
