Next day.

I was at home looking into my bathroom mirror at the bite.

The others were all at the funeral of Jenna and John. Turned out John sacrificed himself so that Elena lives a human life. I think you all know that i'm not very happy about that. at all.

I looked at the bite. It got worse and bigger. I noticed that i lose balance sometimes and i feel a little dizzy. 

My phone started to ring.

 I answered and put the speaker on "who is it?"

Voice "it's me"

I raised an eyebrow surprised "Elijah?"

Elijah "i'm sorry for not doing it"

I sighed "You did what i told you, you did the thing you thought was right. I knew you're not this person, Elijah"

Elijah "i'm glad you understand"

I nodded "of course"

Elijah "I made sure you get the cure for your friend Damon and for you. You just have to pick it up from Niklaus"

Me "thank you, Elijah. How is he by the way?"

Elijah "He's a hybrid now. How are you? Feeling anything yet?"

I took a deep breath "I feel strange. thank you, Elijah, "

Elijah "you're welcome"

I hung up.

I went shower.

I walked downstairs and found Damon with a drink in his hand.

Me "Damon?"

He turned to me "yes, Adelaide?"

Me "show me the bite"

Damon "i don't know what -"

Me "Cut the crap, Damon. I know you got bit"

Damon raised an eyebrow "how?"

Me "Nik told me."

Damon sighed "you gave him the stone..."

Me "...for the cure."

Damon "how could you do this?"

I pulled the hem of my shirt up, showing him my bite. 

His eyes widened  "no"

I nooded "yes"

Damon "Adelaide, what i said-"

Me "You can tell me that after i got the cure from Nik. I promise "

Damon nodded.

At Ric's place.

I walked into the apartment. Katherine was sitting on the bed.

Kat got up " Two days, I've been waiting. I'm supposed to be free of Klaus' compulsion by now. He's supposed to be dead!"

Me "We ran into complications."

She raised an eyebrow " Complications?"

Me "Doesn't really matter. Nik said to meet him here to get something. Where is he?"

Suddenly there was a voice behind us "Funny, i'm here for Klaus too"

Katherine suddenly pushed that person against the wall. Stefan.

Nik and Elijah walked inside.

Kat "Klaus, you're back. Look who decided to come for a visit."

Nik looked at Stefan "You just keep popping up, don't you?"

Stefan " I need your help...For my brother."

Nik " Well, whatever it is, it's gonna have to wait a tick. You see, I have an obligation to my brother that requires my immediate attention."

Elijah looked at Stefan  "You understand how important family is, or you wouldn't be here. My brother gave me his word that he would reunite me with my own."

Nik " And so I shall."

He stabbed a dagger through Elijah's heart, killing him.

I stepped forward but Nik held a hand up for me to not take another step.

Me "Elijah!"
