1.4. "Me Too"

Next day. Night. At the Carnival

I looked around for Elena and Bonnie. 

I saw them standing there. I also spotted Damon threatening little Gilbert. Great.

I walked to the girls. I took my phone out and pretended to do something on it. I fake bumped into Elena making my phone fall to the ground.

Elena turned to me, shocked  "Oh my god, i'm so sorry"

I fake smiled "It's okay"

Then I picked up my phone.

Elena held her hand out and smiled "I'm Elena"

I shook it "I'm Adelaide"

Elena's eyes widened "You're Adelaide ?"

I nodded smiling "the one and only"

Elena "You are Katherine's sister"

I sighed "Sadly yes"

Suddenly i felt a hand on my lower back "Adelaide, a word"

I gave Elena and Bonnie a fake smile and left with Mason.

Mason and i were walking inside.

He sighed  "Where is your sister?"

I asked irritated "Why is everybody asking me that? I am not her lapdog. No offense, Mason"

Mason nodded "sure"

Suddenly we heard cheering in the hallways.

Arm wrestling.

I raised an eyebrow "Is that Tyler?"

I nodded at the guy who was arm wrestling another guy.

Mason nodded "yeah"

I could feel eyes on me. Two pairs of eyes. Salvatores.

Tyler won. The people around him cheered.

I looked at Mason, challenging "Who's stronger? You or your nephew?"

Mason smirked at me and walked to the table.

Mason to Tyler "i bet i can take you"

He sat down.

I felt an arm around my shoulders.

Damon pulled me to him "What's up with you and Lockwood? I saw you two talking yesterday at the Lockwood's. "

I could feel Stefan's eyes on me.

I smirked "Why? jealous?"

Mason won against Tyler. 

Not surprising at all.

Tyler looked around "who wants to go next?"

Damon put a hand on Stefan's shoulders and shoved him a little forward "Hey, Stefan wants to go"

Stefan glared at Damon but then looked at the crowd in front of him "Yeah, sure. I'll, uh, give it a shot, you know"

Damon fake cheered "Get him, Stef"

Stefan linked his hand in Mason's "My brother over there thinks that i can beat you"

Mason scoffed "Well, your brother's wrong"

 true.

They started.

I could see their biceps tensing. Hot.

Mason won in less then a minute.

Stefan walked back to us.

Damon growled disappointed "You didn't put in any effort at all"

Stefan nodded "yeah, actually i did"

Damon's eyes widened surprised. 

My eyes widened "i gotta go"

I walked through the carnival.

Suddenly i got pulled to the side and held by the throat.

I gasped "Stefan?"

Stefan growled "what king of game are you playing here, Adelaide?"

I grabbed his wrist and pulled his hand away, slowly twisting it to the side.

 He groaned in pain. 

Me "i am not playing anything, Stefan"

Stefan tried to rip his wrist out of my grip but i dug my nails into his flesh making him groan out. 

 Then i bent down to Stefan " "Listen to me carefully, Stefan, i am not Katherine, got me? i haven't seen her since i'm back. I am not responsible for her actions so do not make me responsible "

Then I walked away.

At the Salvatore mansion.

I walked inside and saw Damon sitting on the sofa taking a sip of his drink.

I raised an eyebrow. "bad day?"

Damon just starred at me.

I sighed and sat down next to him.

Me "Stefan blames me for something Katherine did. What did she do now?"

Damon "I gave Caroline my blood to heal her.."

I sighed knowing the end of the sentence. 

Damon nodded "...and your sister had nothing better to do than to kill her"

I put my head on his shoulder "But Caroline's still alive?"

Damon let his head hang down "Sadly"

I nodded.

Damon sighed "i'm sorry for what happened the other day. I shouldn't have- you know"

I nodded, taking a deep breath "It's okay."

Damon took sip of his drink "you were right about her. "

I grabbed his hand "i wish i wasn't"

Damon nodded and leaned his head on mine  "me too."
