1.16 Elijah's "Death "

Elijah put his hand on my cheek and slowly broke the kiss. It's been nearly a 100 years. 

I opened my eyes and saw him looking at me. 

He breathed out "Adelaide"

i didn't say anything.

Elijah "I thought Mikael killed you in-"

Me "1919? No. I survived, Elijah"

Elijah gave me a small smile.

He looked at Elena whose jaw was hanging on the ground.

I saw his gaze on her neck. He let go of my cheek and moved to her. 

He started to lean in. 

I raised an eyebrow when he began to sniff. 

Elijah said fascinated  "Human. It's impossible. Hello there."

then he looked at me happily  "We have a long journey head of us. We should be going."

Elena looked at Rose, scared "Please, don't let him take me."

Elijah " One last piece of business and we're done."

He walked towards Trevor.

Trevor breathed out " I've waited so long for this day, Elijah. I'm truly, very sorry."

Elijah shook his head " Oh no, your apology's not necessary."

Trevor nodded" Yes, yes it is. You trusted me with Katerina and Adelaide and I failed you."

Elijah nodded  " Oh yes, you are the guilty one and Rose aided you because she was loyal to you and that now I honor. Where was your loyalty?"

Trevor looked down" I beg your forgiveness."

Elijah nodded " So granted."

Trevor smiled but Elijah suddenly smacked Trevor's head clean off his body. Rose started to cry. Elena's jaw started to hang even lower. 

Rose cried out " You...!"

Elijah raised his hand " Don't, Rose, now that you are free."

He looked at Elena and me. 

Elijah " Come. "

Elena shook her head " No, what about the moonstone?"

Elijah tensed " What do you know about the moonstone?"

Elena "I know that you need it and I know where it is."

I face palmed myself. Come on, girl. 

Elijah " Yes?"

Elena"I can help you get it."

Elijah "Tell me where it is."

Elena shook her head" It doesn't work that way."

Elijah raised an eyebrow surprised" Are you negotiating with me?"

He looked at Rose.

Rose "It's the first I've heard of it."

He tried to compel her but she was wearing a necklace with Vervain. 

Elijah looked at her "What is this vervain doing around your neck?"

He ripped the necklace off her neck and threw it away.  

Then he compelled her " Tell me where the moonstone is."

Elena "In the tomb, underneath the church ruins."

Elijah raised an eyebrow " What is it doing there?"

Elena " It's with Katherine."

Elijah looked at me" Interesting."

Suddenly we heard glass breaking. 

Elijah looked around  "What is that?"

Rose"I don't know."

Elijah " Who else is in this house?"

Rose" I don't know."

Elijah grabbed Elena and put a hand on my lower back. We walked into another part of the house. Two people were speeding around.

Elijah warned "Rose."

Rose " I don't know who it is."

Suddenly we heard "Up here."

I smiled. Stefan.

Elijah speeded up the stairs.

We heard " Down here."

Damon.

We heard a shot and a stake fell right into Elijah's hand. Suddenly Rose and Elena disappeared, leaving me alone with Elijah. Great.

Elijah called out " Excuse me. To whom it may concern, you're making a great mistake if you think that you can beat me. You can't. Do you hear that?

He broke a wooden coat rack into a stake.

Elijah " I repeat, you cannot beat me. So I want the girl, i already have Adelaide. I'm gonna count to three or heads will roll. Do we understand each other?"

I walked closer to him "Elijah, please, don't do this"

He raised an eyebrow at me "you know who's here?"

I sighed and nodded "And i'm begging you, don't kill them. I'll go with you, just don't harm them, please"

Elijah looked like he was about to give in but then Suddenly Elena appeared at the top of the stairs. I sighed annoyed.

Elena " I'll come with you, just please don't hurt my friends, they just wanted to help me out."

He walked up the stairs with the stake in his hand "What game are you playing with me?"

She threw a vervain bomb in his face. It exploded. His skin burned but healed as fast. I stepped back. He went towards Elena but Stefan came and shot him with a compressed air weapon. 

It didn't hurt him. Stefan threw the weapon away and speeded at Elijah and tackled him. They fell down the stairs. Elijah got up immediately but Stefan stayed on the floor. He went towards Stefan but Damon appeared and staked Elijah. He pushed him against the door. Elijah died and was pinned to the door with the stake. 

I looked at Rose who looked at me with wide eyes. 

Me "go"

She speeded out. Damon saw that and tried to follow her but i stopped him. 

Me "Damon, let her go"

I hugged him.

Damon hugged me back  "you okay?"

I nodded "i'm okay"

Then I let go of him and saw the way he looked at Elena. I raised an eyebrow at him. 

I mouthed "you for real?"

Damon rolled his eyes.

Night.

Stefan, Damon and i walked into the house. I was still wearing the dress but without the heels. Damon was carrying them.

Stefan "you okay, Adelaide?"

I turned to him.

 Damon looked at him surprised. 

I nodded "yeah, i'm just tired"

Then I took the heels from Damon and walked upstairs.
