Chapter 37:How to Use Blessings pt.2

Sandalphonia PoV

"Guhhh do I really have to come?"

"Yeah besides if we mess up then we have additional hands to help us." Xentis said sternly.

As of now we were headed to the desert town the next stop on our miracle magic tour. And despite me not wanting to go these three forced me two, and they even used shallow and trivial reasons to bait me, which for some reason I totally fell for. Besides my pride can't stomach the fact they called me a forest hippie, I'm much more than that!

Though I question the fact that we are going on foot when that bastard Ostium can just use his portals to make it quickly to the town, but Xentis forbids him to do so since he wants to see ho well my stamina is after a year.

Though I expected him to decline due to time constraints but he agrees, the bastard.

"I thought we were in a hurry, why not just use portals to instantly go there?" I ask.

He turns around with a cheeky smile and says nothing else.

As I was going to scold him I was interrupted.

"Come on its starting to get dark we need to get to town before midnight!" Xentis calls out as he trudges through the deep sand.

"Gosh, so annoying!"

"I heard that!" Xentis says.

"Tsssk"

"Heard that too." He follows up.

Despite their annoying and teasing  antics all four of us  traversed the sands and we eventually reached the town in the desert. I was quite surprised to see the town's gentle and quaint atmosphere, it had looked similar to that of a painting, the abundant wheat and barely growing. The town in silence and sleep. It was quite peaceful with the water from the oasis rippling due to the slight desert winds.

"Wow how cool..."

"Haha feast your eyes Sandalphonia and friends!" Xentis says with pride.

"Damn not what I expected from the likes of you though. Heck I can even see their little barracks!" Holia says in an annoyed tone.

"Hah! Your just jealous at my work" He says haughtily

"Like you'd make anything like this, I bet all you did was give'em rain and growth then watched over them!" Holia retorts.

"You two need to focus!" Ostium says as he lightly smacks the head of the bickering duo.

"FIne fine but this is not over!" Holia says as she pouts.

"Alright let's begin." Xentis begins to chant some words and from his hand golden dust began to materialize as he continues to chant the dust then spreads all throughout the town and then shines before vanishing.

"Okay done but I doubt we will see any results soon."

As he prided himself we hear a familiar voice looming over.

"Maaasterrrr!!!"

We looked around to see the cat girl running in panic towards her master.

"Halie? weren't you supposed to be with Fwahll?" Ostium asks.

"But that guy is not there, remember its still raining. But that is not important right now, there is big trouble master!"

"Trouble?"

"Yeah While I was in Cove Callum earlier to see if Fwahll was there by chance I saw a Perroweissian surveyor ship from a distance at sea!" His disciple cried out in panic.

"What isn't it too early? They still had to gather resources and boats?" Holia comments.

"Well surveillance is quite different than colonization, however in this case, since they have confirmed habitable it is likely that their forces might be compelled to prepare things faster, in colonization it is first come first serve. Not only that but since this place has no winter they can grow crops all year rounds so it makes it have more potential for colonies." Ostium points out.

Okay this is really bad we really need to prepare even more faster.

"How long do we have if that is the case..." I say in a somber tone.

"A year and a half probably and that is with me using portals sending them in circles, and back again, however I have my limits as well, and we can't keep them from this place with magic. We need the inhabitants of this place to defend it themselves so they know that this is place is taken."

"Very well we will do the best we can, so as of now shall we head to my place?" Holia asks.

All five of us since little kitty disciple joined us headed to the southern plains from the desert. We traveled nonstop when we finally came to the town in the plains. It was early in the evening the next day when we came to the town.

The town was quaint and small but overall it is just fine as it is, the buildings were good and what's more amazing is that the people here can actually tame monsters, which is something quite interesting. However when I peaked into their mentality, it was a total mess. Sort of elitist in a way that is quite annoying.

The mindset that humans are high and all.

"So this is the town I'm watching over, so before I do my blessing, Fonia-pii do you think you can change their mentality, I want them to trade your other towns but if they think like this the only probable trade I see is a trade in slashes and blows."

So she has noticed their mindset, well I don't mind though besides she is right these people is likely the type to rage on sentient non humans.

I cast the spell to change their mentality without issues with it leaving me totally wiped which lead me to sit on the floor in exhaustion. Then she begins chanting her blessing , hers took form of a strange silver mist emanating from the palm of her hands.

As she finishes chanting the mist shines and vanishes.

"Okay now since that is all settled, all we have to do is wait.." Holia says quite worn out.

Afterward we say our pleasantries and then went on our way, though we may be busier than before  the good thing about this is that despite being busy we planned to hang out soon, though for now we need to get this colonization thing sorted out.

Thankfully going home wasn't gonna be such a pain since Ostium finally allows us to use his portals to go home.

As I returned I was greeted by the small sylph duo and then after chatting with them and seeing them off I then fell asleep.

This was such a tiresome escapade, however their attempt is going to be here soon we must prepare.
