-JOKERS POV-
The time was 6:38 and I was getting ready to head out to another meeting.
Ivy hadn't got back yet, so that meant I had to leave without saying good bye- but we were used to that by now.
She said she 'didn't care' about my late outings, but I could read between the lines very easily.
As I was about to get in my car, Ivy pulled up in the Matte Black Audi.
"Hey" she grinned, getting out the car and approaching me.
I nodded with a smile, opening my car door.
"What's wrong?" She asked, crossing her arms across her chest.
"Nothing" I sighed
I didn't feel like talking, I just wanted to get the meeting over and done with.
I leaned down to sit in the car, but Ivy's hand stopped me
"Don't" she breathed.
I looked up and her face just said 'I can't do this anymore'
I sighed deeply again.
"I have to go"
"What the fuck has happened?" She blurted, her hand still resting on my chest.
"To what?"
"To us"
I glanced down at her hand, then looked back up.
"Nothing has happened, Ivy" I said "I'm busy"
"With what!?" She shouted
"WORK!" I countered
She turned her back to me and ran her hands down her face in frustration.
While she did I tried to get in the car again.
"You're not fucking going" she stated, stopping me again
"And what the fuck do you expect me to do, huh?"
I couldn't be bothered with this stupid fight- especially not now. I wasn't in the mood.
"I want you to let...to let me join you" Ivy stuttered
I burst out laughing at her idea!
"Stop fucking laughing!!" She screamed, pushing me back.
I didn't react to the push, but instead i tried to calm my cackling down.
"Princess, that was priceless"
"I want to help you..in meetings, and planning"
I shook my head and held my finger out at her, bringing the tone to a serious level.
"Why should I let you?"
"Because by the looks of things, I've done most of your little plan, haven't i?" She spat
Anger boiled up inside of me a matter of seconds.
"Don't get smart with me, young lady"
She raised an eyebrow.
"But it's the truth, Mr J" she mocked.
Suddenly I raised my hand, but stopped myself from connecting with her face.
