Chapter One

"No. It's okay." I breathed as I tried to stand thou her arms were still around my waist. We both looked at the people around us who were giving us knowing looks and smiles. What the heck?! I questioned myself inside my head as i noticed that my breathing is fast, it feels like I ran somewhere. "Owh." I whimpered as i felt my heart beat, hurting it's ribcage to its fullest.

"Woah! Den, akala ko ba dapat walang love talking in this so called first day of school?" Ella asked as she approached us. Tumitig muna saakin ang best friend ko bago tumingin sa katabi kong mahigpit pa rin ang pagkakayakap saakin. Namumula ito na naging dahilan ng pag tawa nung lalakeng kasama niya kanina sa caf. "Im Mariella De Jesus, pero they call me Ella."

The girl by my side immediately removed her arms around me in a blink of an eye. I looked at her, an amused as I realized that the introduction from Ella pulled her from somewhere we don't know.

"Alyssa Dan Valdez." She introduced herself scratching the back of her head. "Ah-ah, im... I mean Im sorry kung nabangga kita. My-my friend here was-was cha-chasing me. Ka-kasi..."

"Drop it Dan. Actually kanina pa nag umpisa ang first period. And 5 minutes matatapos na yon. So pwede ko bang kunin yang best friend ko? Since we are late and 20-20 lang ang periods ngayon. Since this is our first day. Ok?" Walang tigil na sabi ni Ella at mabilis akong hinila palayo.

"Els..."

"Oh shut up Dennise. We're late!"

I looked over my shoulder and Dan and her friend was not in there anymore. Ella wrapped her arms around me and as she squeezed my waist a sudden hotness was felt on my cheeks.

"Why are you blushing?" Ella asked.

"What?" Oh God! Why am I thinking about that girl's hand around me? Thou it's kinda different, totally different.

"What, what?" She asked back as we entered out Functions class. "Morning miss Dylan! Sorry we're late." I gave our teacher an apologetic smile, "here! Sa likod tayo." Narinig ko pang sabi ni Ella bago ako iupo sa tabi niya.

Nang makaupo na kami ay nagsilingunan lahat ng kaklase namin. They all give us a meaningful look and I noticed that my fingers and Ella's are still joined together. Without giving them an answer I stayed my fingers on Ella's and smiled at my classmates.

"Ok class not because we still have 3 minutes doesn't mean im not going to give you some assignments to do at home." Miss Dylan said standing at the podium. The students around us groaned, including my best friend.

"But Miss, it's the first day! Can't we just chill and relax for a bit? Cause you know, tomorrow will be a torture. Since this is our senior years." A guy in red polo said with a cocky smile on his face. He looked at me as if he sensed that i was staring at him. "Hi gorgeous." He winked and gave me a sweet smile.

"Hi." I whispered before looking down on the floor. This is weird. I laughed mentally when Ella whispered that I am blushing again.

"Nah. You had two months of vacation already. You're now at school and being a senior student you have to accept it, since chilling and relaxing for this year will be done during weekends. NOT WEEKDAYS." She said emphasizing the last two words.

The whole class groaned when miss Dylan asked as to answer a ten pages geometry problems. I scanned the whole thing and pouted my lips. "Oh this will be easy." I whispered at the papers on my desk.

"Ang aga namang assignment nito. Kainis."

"Eh? Ganyan talaga! Duh! Magulat ka nalang kung wala."

"True! Senior years, hello! Masanay kana. Since it's our last two years, malamang sa malamang pahihirapan talaga tayo."

"Kaya ikaw Michelle, huwag tamad."
