Dreams used to be obvious fantasy
They'd mimic what I'd think not see
But they're taking notes from reality
As they march on slowly
Becoming more realistic by the night
The emotions felt in them feel so right
They linger to my waking hours
They fill my head with blooming flowers
Of things to think
Of ideas to make
The cast of characters are real people often
My friends of new my friends of old
My family as long as they're close
In real life I think more realistically
My daydreams are based on possibility
Things that are capable of being reality
My nights dreams are changing too
Real people realish events
Real emotions real emptiness real pain
While all my dreams are more real
Than they ever used to be
There is one defining line
Between fiction and reality
Because in fiction people actually wish to talk to me
