"Hey Anne, want to hear a joke?"
I smile. "Of course, Y/n! Hit me with your best shot."
"Why don't scientists trust atoms?"
"I don't know, why?"
"Because they make up everything!"
I burst into laughter, unable to contain myself.
"That's a good one, Y/n!" I say between giggles. "You always know how to make me laugh."
"I'm glad I can bring some joy to your day, Anne. Laughter is the best medicine, after all."
We continue sharing jokes and funny anecdotes, filling the room with infectious laughter.
"Okay, here's one for you. Why don't skeletons fight each other?"
"Hmm, I'm not sure. Why?" Y/n asks.
"Because they don't have the guts!"
Y/n bursts into laughter, unable to resist the cleverness of my joke.
Y/n say wiping away tears of laughter. "That was fantastic, Anne! You got me good."
"I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's always fun to see you smile and laugh."
Our laughter continues as we spend the day together, cherishing every joyful moment.
