Chapter 43

After a while the cops arrived and took us all down to the station. Kaitlyn, Selena, Ava and myself were seated together and being called in one at a time. I was the last to go in.

"So there isn't anyone you'd suspect of this?" The cop, Mr Conor Min asked.

"No. I can't imagine anyone doing something like this." I lied. I agreed with the other girls to not use Black Masked name, just in case.

"Is there anything else you'd like to say? Anything at all?" Mr Min asked.

"No." I lied again. He sighed before speaking again.

"Okay. Please wait outside." He said. I nodded and then walked back out to the others. They all stood up to meet me.

"What'd he asked?" Selena asked.

"Suspects, like who I could've thought would do this, those kind of questions." I said.

"Hi girls. Please be seated." Mr Min as well as five other cops walked in behind in, all armed and waiting response. Did he know we was lieing or something?

"Look Mr Min we told you everything we knew." Kaitlyn said.

"I wish I can say that I completely believe you but I don't. See, we got tipped by someone that the explosion occured as you four left the house. Care to explain anything?" He asked.

"How about a coincidence?" Ava asked.

"Really? Something so literal?" He asked.

"Are you accusing us?" Ava asked.

"Not accusing you, but just help me to figure this out. Most of your friends are either seriously injured, one of them in a coma and not to mention three of them are dead!" He said.

"Like you said, they're OUR FRIENDS! What reason would we have to do something like that?!" I asked.

"And how would we be capable of doing that?!" Selena asked.

"We are looking into it! As of now you're free to go once a guardian comes to sign you off." He said.

"Huh! Told y'all we should of made pastries." Kaitlyn said and we all looked at her with a 'seriously?' face. She shrugged and I shook my head.

After a while our parents all came to get us.

"Mom!" I called to my mother as she hugged me. Scott was also here.

"Aunt Ria!" Selena greet her. Selena seemed hesitant but I grabbed her hand and pulled her in for a hug with us.

"Ronnie, Selena! Are you girls okay?! My babies!" She said hugging us both.

"Crap!" Kaitlyn said.

"What's wrong?" I asked her after breaking the hug.

"My dad can't make it tonight. He's overseas!" She said nervously.

"Oh damn it!" I said and my mom lightly hit my head.

"Don't." My mom said.

"What?" I said.

"Its okay, maybe my dad can sign it." Ava said as her dad approached.

"They won't allow me to." Mr Benson said.

"What?! Why not?!" I asked.

"Previous records and I don't have any clearance to do so." He said.

"You got me signed off." Ava said.

"Because you're his daughter." Kaitlyn said.

"Can't anything be done?" Selena asked.

"Its fine. I'll just stay in this place, until my dad arrives." Kaitlyn said.
