Damon King

"One.. two... threee... four—"

"Well, I obviously I suck at dancing," Starr throws her hands up.

"You are far better than a beginner," I reassure her. "You're just overthinking it. Let your feet do the thinking," I tap her temple.

She rolls her eyes. "Okay." We get back into the partner dancing position. Her eyes shift to her feet as we began in motion.

I lift her head up with my fingertip. "No looking down. Be confident as if your feet does the thinking."

"How the hell does feet think?" She questions me.

"The same way you are thinking right now." I say not know what the fuck that meant. She sighs.

We do a couple of rotations for little while before we come to a stop. "You're getting better already," I compliment her.

She turns and walk towards the couch. "It's not good to start off lying 4 days before the wedding."

I walk over to her as she was now sitting on the couch with a frustrated expression. Leaning over the couch to leave a swift kiss on her lips.

She warms up to my kiss as if it was medicine. I break it and look into her eyes. "I'm not lying."

"Hmm," She looks the other way, while something heavy weighed on her mind. "I need to check on Grayson and Issac today. Maybe even Alexei and Angelina if I get the chance."

I nod my head. She always had a way of worry about everyone but herself. Though the person that she's been avoiding is recovering alone. "And Mariah?"

She shakes her head. "Last time I seen her, she threw a knife at me and I threw it back," She pauses. "I don't think she would want to see the woman who almost killed her and who's engaged to the boss she had a crush on for who knows how long."

"Okay," I respond. "You're now her boss. Or after the  ceremony you'll be." She shrugs to my words. "Responsibility takes a huge part in it."

"Really?" She pouts. "You had to add the freaking word responsibility?"

"Yes," I respond. "You should go. Get that respect before she does something else and you really kill her next time."

"She hates me," Starr protest. "Besides, I've never seen you apologizing to anyone."

"I want you to be far better than me," I respond.

"Okay," She nods her head. "But how does that take place in talking to her?"

"Once you talk to her, I'm sure she would see from your view and later in respect it."

"Maybe?" She cocks her head.

"Maybe," I respond. "Now go to her."

Starr comes to a stance from the couch. She turns to look at me as I was still leaning against the couch myself. "If it goes bad— it was not me."

I laugh nodding my head. "Of course, because you don't not like her."

Starr Marie

Here I am fucking pacing in front of a huge, white-wooden door. This should be easy! Walking into a room is something I never thought I would have a hard time doing. Yet, here I am struggling.

'Go in'. I could hear Damon's voice in my head. I push it out and collect myself.

Okay. I can do this.

I bring my arm up to the door to knock. Though, I stop before my knuckles brush against the door.

Do it.
