Starr Marie
Damon walked into the bathroom as I stood at the bathroom mirror fixing my hair. From the playful smirk on his lips, I could tell that he was in a playful mood despite all that's happened these last few days.
Besides the engagement.
"How are you?" He asked looking at me through the bathroom mirror.
"I'm fine," I replied honestly.
He takes a few steps forward until the was standing closely behind me. "I asked how you were doing, not how you look."
I playfully push my back against his chest as he stood behind me. "I see you've got jokes."
His smile increases. "Well fiancée... I find it upsetting how you just figured that out."
I sarcastically roll my eyes as I walk past him to the bedroom. "Yeah babe. What a shame."
He gently pushes me onto the bed. There his body straddled mine, while I stared into his beautiful hazel eyes. Bringing my head down, he places a kiss on my forehead. I rest to his soft lips, then I once again look into those hazel eyes.
His eyes stared upon my lips. "Damon," I called his name. "What are you trying to do?"
He lets out a guilty laugh. "I'm trying to end the day off perfectly."
"And how are you going to do that?" I ask knowing the answer, though I just wanted to hear him say it.
"I'm going to make love to my fiancée before I go to sleep peacefully," He leans down, planting a gentle kiss on my lips. "Besides... I heard it's good to be sexually active when you're pregnant."
Lol. What?
I instantly push him over so I'm now straddling him. "I'm not pregnant."
He laughs. "You don't know that."
I found it surprising how he's so open to having children. I didn't know if it was because we were engaged or because he felt like he was generally ready. I was just stuck on the fact that he was pushing for pregnancy.
"Don't you think it's a little too early?" I let worry run through my words as I question him.
He frowns. "Amore. Are you worried about the timing or something else?"
As much as I hate to admit it, this wasn't a problem because of the time frame. I think I'm more afraid than I should be. I mean— we're engaged, about to get married, so it won't be any problems in that area.
But— I would not want my child to be conceived and born at a timeline this.
Especially when so many things have yet went back to normal.
"Yes. No. I don't know," I say confused with all these thoughts swirling through my head.
"Then what is this about?" He questions.
I swallow the hint of confusion and nervousness. "It's just..." I close my eyes then open them to his expression that basically says 'tell me'. "Umm... don't you think that bringing a baby... our baby... into the world at a time like this is a little extreme?" I ask though he doesn't answer.
"We have so much to worry about," I continue. "I mean— Issac, Grayson and his wife, Leah, Antonio, Brava, my father, and your fath—," I instantly stop realizing that this is a conversation we've yet to have. A conversation that he dodged when we first met that I made it my mission to not ask again.
