he takes my hand after paying and we walk to the arena. we go in and give them the tickets josh got us. we left the stroller outside and go down to our seats. i see a guy sitting in the front row while everything else is empty.
you: who is that?
josh smiles and we go down.
you: bryce!!!
he stands up hugging me and josh.
bryce: sorry no one else could make it
you: that's ok!
josh: babe i gotta go get changed to practice before
you: ok. good luck
i kiss his cheek and he goes off. bryce sits down with jordan on his lap and i have carson in my arms.
bryce: how ya been
you: good. you?
bryce: good. everyone misses you. they wanted to come but had meetings
you: aw i miss them too.
bryce: so who do you bet on winning
you: the senators
bryce: nah i bet on the flyers
we laugh.
you: can we go get milkshakes and food?
bryce: didn't y'all come from lunch? *laughs
you: i'm still hungryyyy
he laughs as we pick up the kids and go to the hallways where the food and gift shops are.
bryce: check that out. hasn't even had a game but already selling jerseys like josh's
i laugh
you: i'm totally getting one.
i drag bryce in there and i try on a jersey.
you: how does it look??
bryce: like josh's wife
he fake gags and i take it off.
you: aww they have kids ones
i laugh and get jordan and carson one even though it will be big on carson. i pay and bryce and i go to get food. we get milkshakes and nachos. after sitting back at our seats we watch the guys practice. josh skates past but he's too focused on practicing. a little later people flood in. i see josh go over to the box so i quickly make my way over to above it. josh sees me and smiles. i lean down.
you: good luck baby
josh: thank you
i lean down and kiss him.
josh: i thought i wasn't getting a kiss til after
you: well forget ab that.
i kiss him again but this time a few seconds longer. then i hear all his hockey friends go "oOo" and i pull away laughing. i go back to sit with bryce. the game starts. an hour through the game and josh's team is losing big time. it's now halftime and the boys go to the locker room for a break.
you: hey i'll be back
bryce: ok i'll watch jordan and carson
i tell him thanks and text josh to meet me outside the locker room. when i get down there i see him and hug him.
josh: we are getting our asses kicked. i missed the puck twice!
you: hey. hey it's ok calm down
i rub his cheek.
you: your doing good. oh like what i bought?
i smile and spin around. he sees the jersey that says 34 and richards. he smiles
josh: i love it
you: i bought the kids them too
he laughs.
you: just focus more. do your best. you'll do great. i love you
josh: i love you too babe
he kisses me and i go back up to my seat just in time for them to come onto the ice and start playing.
