Sarah POV

The time has come, the sad departure of my presence. It's January 5, and it's about time that we leave.

Our plane leaves at five in the afternoon, but we have to leave at two to get there on time. It's 1:48.

"Oh, Sarah, I'm going to miss you so much!" Mom says and hugs me tightly.

"I'm going to miss you too. But we can still text a bunch and call each other. I'll keep you updated on college."

"Duh." I move on to my dad.

"I'm so happy you decided to come home, sweetie." He says.

"So am I. It's been a great trip, honestly." I admit.

"I'm so glad that you're talking to us again."

"So am I." Dad gives me a hug.

"Text me when you land, okay?"

"Okay."

"And next time, it's our turn to fly to you."

"You'd love it in Australia."

"I love you, squirt."

"Love you, too."

Matthew hugs me immediately when I go to him. "I'm gonna miss you."

"I'm gonna miss you too. It was great to see you again."

"I love you, Sarah. You know that, right?"

"I know. I love you too."

Connor is up next. "You know Connor, now that you have that nice phone, we can text all the time." I hear giggles in the back, and it's from a few of Connors friends that are over.

"I know. I'm looking forward to it."

"Great." I give him a big hug. "We'll start when I land, got it?"

"Got it."

"I love you."

"I love you too." I walk over to where Diana and Michael are standing.

"And Diana, it was lovely seeing you again." Mom says.

"Yes, totally. I loved it." Diana agrees.

"Michael?" Dad says.

"Yes?"

"You're a good kid. I like you."

"Thank you, sir."

"Since I won't be there to do it, I need you to take car of my baby sister. Can you do that?" Matthew tells him.

"I'd be my pleasure." Michael says.

"You better get going. We love you, you know." Mom says.

"I know. I love you, too."

"Bye, guys!" Diana says.

"Wait!" Connor stops us. He runs over and whispers in my ear, "My friends think you're hot." Then he runs back to his spot. I look over at his friends.

"You guys are cute, too." I tell them and they all smile really big. I laugh and everyone says bye to the other side. When we get outside, the bus to take us to the airport is here. We climb in and take a seat.

"Hey, what did Connor tell you?" Diana asks me.

"He told me that his friends think I'm hot." I tell her.

"Is it wrong to be jealous about three eleven year olds?" Michael asks.

"Yes." Both Diana and I answer.
