The whole camp seemed to freeze when Thomas said my name. I took a few hesitant steps towards him, unable to tare my eyes away from him.

"Y/N?" He said again.

My eyes filled with tears as all the memories came rushing back.

"Thomas?" The tears finally started streaming down my cheeks when I saw the smile spread across his face.

I ran towards him, jumping into his arms. The tears continued to stream down my cheeks as he held me close to his chest. He pulled out of the hug, gently cupping my cheeks in his hands.

"Anyone else confused?"

We turned around to see his friends watching us strangely. Thomas laughed as he wrapped his arm around my waist.

"Guys, this is my little sister, Y/N." I blushed as he ruffled my hair when he said "little".

"Your sister?" A blonde boy chuckled as he looked between the two of us.

"Yep," Thomas said, popping the "p".

I sucked in a breath when I saw her hiding in the back of the group.

"Teresa," I said under my breath.

"You know her too?" A boy with dark hair asked.

"We worked together," I said darkly. For an instant, her innocent confused look went away and was replaced with a knowing smirk. As soon as it appeared, it was gone.

Teresa looked between Thomas and I before shrugging.

"Thomas?"

We turned around to see Mary smiling at us. "I was right," she chuckled as she sent me a look.

"Yes, you were."

Ever since Thomas came to camp, he and I have been inseparable. Which only made Teresa angry, but I didn't care.

"I still can't believe you're here," he chuckled as we ate dinner on a rock a little bit away from everyone.

"I can't believe we're both still alive," I sighed. "Who knows what WICKED will do when they. . . if they find us."

He looked up at me, shocked when he saw the look on my face. I gasped when he reached over and grabbed my hand.

"Hey," he said gently. "We're together. I'm not going to let anything happen to you. I promise."

"Thomas," I sighed. "We both know what they are capable of doing and how far they will go to get what they want. What if. . . Mary told me I was immune which is why they took me out of the maze days after they put me in. And when they did take me out, they kept me in this weird facility, far away from the other kids."

"Wait," he said, cutting me off. "You were there? At WICKED's fake safe facility? I think. . . I think I saw you. Janson was escorting you away from the rest of us.

My heart jumped into my throat. "Yes," I said slowly. "You were too."

He nodded, scooting closer to me. My eyes widened when I figured it out. "Let me guess," I smirked, "you were the group of kids who broke out?"

He laughed as he shrugged. I rolled my eyes, playfully pushing his shoulder. "Always a troublemaker," I teased.

Our smiles fell when we heard the sound of engines. We looked over the horizon just in time to see several black ships.
