It's been five years since the last time I saw my childhood best friend. We had been friends since we were in kindergarten and I had been in love with him since middle school. Before he moved away to be in Teen Wolf, I mustered up all my courage and finally told him how I felt about him.

All he said when I told him I loved him was that I was super important to him and that he didn't want to lose my friendship.

Sadly, he did.

The day he moved to LA was the first day in over ten years that I didn't see or at least talk to my best friend. There were so many nights that I debated picking up the phone and calling him, but I didn't.

Now, five years later, I am working as a makeup artist for the cast of the hit tv show, Supernatural. Jared and Jansen are just as crazy as their fans think. It's been an amazing experience and I wouldn't change it for anything in the world.

"Morning, Y/N." I turned to see Jared walking onto set with a coffee in hand.

"Morning," I smiled as I took a sip of my own.

"How was your weekend? Didn't you have that date with the intern from Arrow on Saturday?"

"Yeah," I shrugged, not really wanting to talk about it.

"I'm guessing it didn't go well," he laughed as we walked into the conference room.

"Hey Y/N." I looked up to see Jensen already sitting at the table, this week's script in his hand. "How was your date?"

"Apparently it sucked." Jared laughed as he sat next to him. I was too focused on them to notice there were other people in the room.

"I didn't say it sucked," I sighed as I sat at one of the chairs against the wall. "It just wasn't a love connection."

"In other words, the dude was either a nerd or a dick," Jensen laughed, sending me a look over his shoulder.

"I would take a nerd over whatever he was," I rolled my eyes. The two guys looked at each other before spinning their chairs around to face me.

"Go on," Jared said as they playfully leaned their elbows on their knees and put their chins in their hands.

"He was nice," I sighed. "At first."

"Which means he was ugly," Jensen whispered to Jared causing me to glare at him.

"At first?" Jared asked, ignoring Jensen.

"The second we got to the restaurant he kept trying to talk himself up instead of talk about himself. It was annoying. He was obviously overcompensating for something," I smirked as I look a sip of my coffee.

My comment made Jared and Jensen laugh harder than they should have. I rolled my eyes before sending the other people in the room an apologetic look. I was about to turn my attention back to Jared and Jensen when my eyes caught a familiar face.

"Dylan?" I said under my breath. He sent me a small smile that I was unable to return. I quickly looked away and grabbed the script.

My script was different than the actors'. Mine had notes about the scenes and the special affects makeup that would be needed.

As I nonchalantly flipped through my script, skimming my notes, I could feel his eyes on me. "Y/N?" I jumped when I felt a piece of paper hit me. I looked up to see Jared and Jensen watching me.

"What's up with you, kiddo?" Jensen asked.

"Nothing," I said, clearing my throat. My eyes darted towards Dylan to see Tyler Posey talking to him but Dylan was watching me.

"You sure?" Jared asked hesitantly. I felt him reach over and grab my hand causing me to look at him. "You look really pale. Are you feeling alright?"

"No," I said under my breath. I cleared my throat before looking up. "I'm fine," I said louder. Jared and Jensen shared a look before going back to their conversation.

"Alright, everybody. Let's get started." Robert, the director of Supernatural, said to get our attention. "As you may have noticed we have another cast with us. This is the cast of MTV's Teen Wolf. CW and MTV thought it would be a fun idea to do a crossover with Supernatural and Teen Wolf."

As they read through the script, I caught Dylan constantly looking up at me. It caused him to almost miss his cue a few times. By the end of the episode, Sam and Dean helped Scott and his friends get rid of something called the Nogitsune which apparently takes over Dylan's character, Stiles.

"Now, due to some complications, Teen Wolf will not have their original makeup artist," Robert said, peaking my interest. "Which means our makeup gal will have her hands full. Hopefully that won't be an issue for you, Y/N."

"I'll be fine," I nodded, ignoring the fact that everyone had turned to look at me when he said my name.

"You sure?" He asked.

"Yeah," Jensen answered for me. "Y/N's a badass when it comes to making us look legit. She'll do great."

I rolled my eyes as Jensen turned around and sent me a wink. "I agree," Robert laughed. "Which is why we hired some interning makeup artist. They're students from that fashion school downtown, but Y/N will be in charge."

"Getting her own team of interns," Jared smiled as him and Jensen turned towards me. "Way to go, Y/L/N."

I let out a small laugh as they both lifted their hands up, waiting for high fives. I sighed as I quickly gave them both one. The meeting went on with Robert explaining the filming schedule.

After we had gone through the script and the schedule, the meeting was finally over. I was talking to Julie, the costume designer, when I felt someone walk up behind me.

"Y/N?" I turned around to see Dylan standing behind me. He reached up and scratched the back of his neck, something he used to do when he was nervous.

"Dylan," I said, not really knowing how to react to the boy I once loved.

"How umm. . . How have you been?" He asked.

"Good," I shrugged.

"Obviously," he laughed. He continued when he saw the confused look on my face. "It's just, you're the makeup artist for Supernatural. That's awesome."

"Yeah, it's pretty great."

There was an awkward silence as neither one of us knew what to say. I looked over his shoulder to see Jared and Jensen watching us.

"Look Y/N," Dylan sighed, breaking the silence. "I just wanted to. . . About what happened before I left. . ."

"It's fine, Dylan." I interrupted him. "That was five years ago. It happened. You moved on and so did I. We can go back to normal, like nothing happened."

He opened and closed his mouth, unable to form words. "Anyway," I cleared my throat, looking away from him. "I've gotta go talk to the new makeup interns Robert hired. See you later."

"What was that about?" Jensen asked in a knowing voice as I started to leave.

"Nothing."
