There's plastic in the ocean

But I don't think it's paying rent amongst the waves

There's pollution in the water

But it never had to sign a lease

There's refugees on our borders

But I dont think they're being treated like us

There's displaced people in centres and camps

But they should be free and not stuck where they are

There's politicians in office

But no one elected them there

There's global leaders with our fate in their hands

But they don't represent us

There's stuck gum under every school desk

But we're not meant to chew it in the first place anyway

There's writing on every wall

But none on our papers

Even when there should be

There's your name on my heart

But it didn't ask first

There's your lips that at a glance tease mine

And that shouldn't be

There's your hand that tightly grips mine

But it's not right

There's your voice in my head

But it's not allowed to be

There's you behind the whisper

The one stuck on my tongue

But I never wanted it that way

But out of everything on this list

There's this amazing thing you do

You make up the good

'Bettering' everything

And

There's something I should of said

But I didn't

So here it is

There's a part of me

That I feel is undone

But it's okay

Because

You complete me

In any

And every

Way
