LAUREN'S P.O.V
Michael wasn't in lesson all day and even though he was probably only using me, I was kind of annoyed that I had no one to talk to.

I walked to the campus cafe in my free period and one of Michael's friends who I briefly remember was in there.

Michael emerged from the cafe with a Starbucks cup, chuckling at his friend, he had large black circles under his eyes and his voice sounded raspier than usual.

"I feel so tragic why do I get drunk." I heard him groan as he sipped his coffee.

He looked over at me for a moment but didn't react, as if we were simply strangers.

I went back to my dorm and studied all night.

I woke up with my books still scattered over my bed, I must have fell asleep studying.

I ran the cold shower until the water wasn't unbearably cold and climbed in.

I washed all over my body thoroughly, trying to waste time because I woke up early.

I washed my hair thoroughly too and shaved my legs even though I only did them a few days before.

I got out of the shower and pulled a thin, rough towel around my body and chose some clothes from my closet whilst my dorm mate was still asleep.

I pulled my hair into a wet bun and didn't bother with makeup before pulling on leggings and an old band top, I don't even like the band anymore.

I left my dorm and went to the cafe.

Michael was sat in there.

I tried to turn and run but he spotted me.

"Lauren," he said as he approached me. "How are you?" he asked.

I stared at him blankly in the face before huffing.

"How could you even say that!?" I said angrily before walking away.

"Wait!" he called.

I felt a hand on my shoulder shortly afterwards and he looked at me confusedly.

"Have I done something? Because if I have you're going to have to tell me what." he said.

I rolled my eyes before walking away again.

This time he didn't even bother following after me.

English literature was first and of course, Michael was in that class.
I sat in my original seat, next to Michael's but put my bag on his chair so he couldn't sit there.

He walked in and simply took my bag of the chair and placed it beside me before pulling it out and sitting down, tapping the table with his pen.

I huffed.

"Tell me what I've done." he said, turning to me.

"You know what you've done." I replied, concentrating on the teacher as much as I could.

"I don't." he lied.

"No legacy is as rich as honesty." I replied, looking down at my textbook.

"Oh so we're quoting Shakespeare now?" he challenged.

"It looks like it." I replied, biting my lip to stop the smile spreading across my face despite the anger I felt towards him.

"What's done cant be undone." he replied, smirking a little.

Never have I met someone that can quote Shakespeare as well as me.

"But you see, the problem is the course of true love was never easy." he finished as the bell went, getting up and leaving.
