Have you ever experienced one of those days when you're inexplicably sad? That was exactly how you felt today. Nothing had gone wrong in particular, but when you got home, all you could do was cry.
Your melancholy moment was interrupted by a soft knock on your bedroom door.
"Y/n?"
"Yes?" You squeaked, hastily wiping the tears from your eyes.
"I'm here for my daily fix of hugs and kis—hey, what's wrong?" Y/bf asked, pushing the door open.
"Nothing. I'm just... sad," you explained, tears welling up in your eyes.
Y/bf didn't say anything; he simply scooped you up and settled you in his lap.
"Hey, it's going to be okay," he assured, gently rocking back and forth.
"Now, can you give me a smile?" He requested, gently lifting your chin.
You sat there for a moment, not moving a single muscle.
"Y/n, please, smile for me."
Finally, you caved in, managing a brief half-smile.
"There's the smile I love."
Just having y/bf hold you in his arms made all your troubles melt away.
