Drew looked down at the time on his car radio as he pulled into the drive-thru of Chick-fil-A. It was 10:54, yet, he was ordering some chicken sandwiches for you and his son, Mason.

He's been at the arena since 8 this morning and you've done nothing, but stayed home and taken care of his son. This is the least he could do other than pay you!

He quickly ordered the food and began driving back to his home, ready to see both of y'all's reaction to your favorite foods.

Slowly as the time ticked down to an hour till midnight, he pulled in the driveway, unbuckling his seatbelt and getting out of the car.

Just as he started walking to his door, the sound of his neighbor calling him caught his attention. "Aye McIntyre!"

Drew snapped his head around to his old neighbor, watching as the old man walked over to him with his black cane. "I know you've been kicking ass tonight at the show and I don't wanna keep you up, but I just wanted to say you've got a good lady in there."

A blush came to Drew's cheeks as he instantly knew who his old neighbor was talking about. "I-oh, she's not mine, she's my babysitter, but I'll make sure to give her an extra tip on your behalf." Drew smiled, as the old man smiled wider.

"Okay now, you better not let her go. I see her every week playing with your boy in the yard, and walking him to that ice cream truck down the street, buying him that same birthday cake flavor."

Drew chuckled at his neighbors words. "Alright, alright, I promise I won't let her go, now go get some rest you old man!" Drew lightly scolded the man.

They both broke apart, a smile on Drew's face as he grabbed his bags out the car and walked back to the door. Very slowly, he opened the door, making sure not to make so much noise.

He gently placed his bags down on the ground and crept around the corner, just enough to see the living room.

He thought he would see you sleeping on the couch, or catching up on your latest TV show, but instead, he saw Mason coming from the hallway, with his favorite teddy bear in hand, one Drew had won him the first time they ever went to a fair, and big teary eyes.

You instantly noticed, sitting up and pausing the TV. "Hey, bud, what's wrong? Why ya crying?" Mason let out a small sob, waddling his way to you.

You scooped him up in your arms, holding him gently to your chest. "Shhh, it's okay." You whispered in his ear, slowly rocking him side to side.

Your nails gently scratched his scalp, and hand rubbed soothing circles on his back, hoping it would help him from his crying fit.

After a good couple of seconds, the only thing that now filled the room was Mason's small sniffles as his cries calmed down.

He pulled back from your hold, looking up at you with his big eyes. "Do you wanna talk about it?" You asked him. Mason nodded his head, snuggling his head back into your chest.

"I had a dream that there was this big monster and he was eating everyone on Earth. I was the only one left and somehow I made it to a rocket, but as it started to launch he ate me!" Mason's squeaky, but scared voice explained the reason for his crying.

You had to bite back a laugh. To you it was funny, but to him it wasn't and you knew that which is why you didn't laugh. "Well, it's okay. There's no monsters, and neither me nor your Daddy would let anyone eat you, okay?" You reassured him.

Mason looked up at you, a small smile coming to his lips. "Okay, Y/n!" He hugged you tightly, a giggle coming from you. "See this is why I like you so much! Daddy loves you too y'know? He talks about you all the time, saying-"

And that was Drew's queue to reveal himself.

Drew stepped from around the corner, clearing his throat loudly. You and Mason jumped at the sudden noise, with you quickly pulling Mason behind you.

"Daddy!"

You let out a sigh of relief as you saw it was Drew. You're not gonna lie, you were slightly disappointed when Mason didn't finish telling you what Drew says about you.

You watched as Drew held his son, throwing him in the air. "Ah, I missed you so much!" You smiled seeing how happy Drew looked.

You couldn't imagine having a kid and being away from them for such long hours in a day like him.

You got up from your spot on the couch walking over to the pair. "He was good as always, and was asleep, but he had-" Drew quickly finished your sentence.

"A bad dream about monsters eating him. I heard everything." You smiled and made your way around them and into the kitchen to tidy up.

Drew dropped Mason, getting his chicken sandwich ready. "I got Chick-fil-A for you two." It seemed your eyes lit up at the sound of Chick-fil-A.

You quickly rushed towards him, grabbing the bag. You dug through it, gasping at the contents inside. "A spicy chicken sandwich with fries?!" You squealed, jumping on him, engulfing his big muscles in a hug.

It felt nice to Drew, an arm wrapping your waist to pull you closer into him without making it seem weird.

Once again, the moment was broken apart when Mason came in. "Are we having a group hug? I wanna join!" You and Drew shared a laugh, inviting Mason into the hug.

You smiled widely, feeling complete. It was almost like your big little family. Drew looked at you with nothing, but love and adoration in his eyes.

You made eye contact with him, looking away, suddenly feeling shy. Mason saw it too and it brought a big smile to his face.

After seeing what he did earlier, Drew now knows he wants you to spend the rest of his life with and so does Mason.
