Massachusetts is a witch when the Louisiana Purchase happened he could sense that Loui is also a witch but he was really young and didn't know that he's a witch so Mass taught him witchcraft and how to use his powers. When Voodoo came to Louisiana he learned voodoo and is now more powerful that Massachusetts and Mass couldn't be more proud of him but won't say it out loud.
