~Everything~

Like a whisper out in the ocean,
Barely there
Not heard
By a single living soul,
A last breath
Of oxygen
Before the power
Of the sea
Drags
The tired
Soul
Under
But
A ray of sun still
Shines
Illuminating the dark
Just so
But will it be enough to save this life?
Or will
The exhaustion
Win out
And will they sink to the bottom,
Never seeing the light of day again?
A raindrop,
Hitting
The
Huddle of black umbrellas
The sky might as well be crying, too
But life moves on,
Racing,
And we love and learn and fall
In between
Its sharp lessons,
We learn
Maybe not everything is going to be okay
But maybe the hurt will go away some
We learn
Not everything can be saved
But maybe sometimes,
We see small miracles
Maybe sometimes
The drowning person
Follows the light with deeper strength,
Maybe our long journey will continue once more
And we fuel our hearts and our minds along the way
Trying not to
Find ourselves at the end if the road,
Learning
When to step back and when to
Intervene
And when to push
Maybe our actions have bigger ripples than we realize,
Like a stone skipping across a lake
Maybe,
In this world full of impossibilities
Contradictions
And tears
We can reach for the pieces of light
Learn to
Grow strong
From everything that comes our way
