It's time to learn to draw the line
No more pushing yourself until you break

Crazy afternoons spent
Searching for something
That would always evade me
No more
Trying to hard
You can't even focus
You're just a slowly unraveling mess
No more
Trying to achieve perfection,
You won't
More
Enjoying life
More
Meaning
Unless I have it all wrong
My worldview's skewing sideways
I don't know
But when happiness is trying to hide
And the world takes a turn for the worse
You learn
More things about yourself
And you try
In whatever way you can
To control
Maybe
Like I did,
Hiding, hiding,
Hiding
Inside anxious mindsets
And empty rooms
And scary thoughts
You retreat,
You wait
You try
To find a spark
And when that spark fades
You know
You will be no more
Unless
You can find the strength to withstand
Another storm
