There's nothing rational about feelings
There's nothing logical about what your heart is telling you
But somehow
Those desires shape you
They really, really shape you
What you choose to act on and what you choose to don't...
And the feelings you've got, all wound up inside
That you learn to deal with,
They're a part of who you are
They don't listen to anything your brain says,
For better or worse.
They're the definition of irrational,
Defying rhyme or reason
Yet they're still there and solid, too,
For you can still feel them,
Shifting,
And bringing you to higher places,
Lower places,
Solidifying.
There's nothing rational about the things we feel
But surely
Feeling something
Is better
Than feeling nothing at all
