~Broken wires~

Fix these broken wires, give this fragile heart something to beat in time with.

Replace these frayed puppet strings with something strong and worthwhile, give these bones, tired of fighting themselves, purpose.

Remove this heavy load I've been carrying for so long.

Pushed to the side, hiding in the corner, there I was, waiting till my internal clocks wore down and the light left me.

This stone cold blood was pumped through an uncaring soul, waiting for someone to turn around and replace those squinting eyes, ears ringing with criticism, these shaking, unsteady legs...waiting for someone to say, that's enough.

You're allowed to change now.

You're allowed to find something better to fight for.
