Do you see
Do you realize
What I did?
What I keep doing?
What I can't seem to stop myself from acting on?
No
You don't
And I hate it
But I love it
If you knew
Then I don't know how
I would react
How you would react
I don't know if
You would hate me
For acting on something I didn't understand
Time and time again
But it doesn't matter
I'll never tell
Not until it presses down on me
And threatens to crush me
Even then
If I do....
Then
I'm scared
That you will pretend nothing has changed
But you see
I know
I know
It means
What I did
Is just a prelude
To all the problems yet to come
To all the problems that did come
And the ones I know have waiting
So can you understand why I keep trying to hide in safe little bubbles?
Because there's nothing safe about life
Especially not mine
So just understand that please
Understand that I'm trying,
That I keep pleading for release
I doubt will ever come
But that I keep living
So far,
Not dragged completely under
So far,
Hurting
But
Alive
