I sat at the diner with sweets tabitha Archie and Cheryl
"Percival has started construction which is bad news for us specially, if it's not an ordinary train that he's building. Cheryl you called it" archie says
"A ghost train which would grant him dominion over the souls of the living and the dead" Cheryl says
"Which we can't just run around saying" I say
"Most of Percivals crew used to work for you archie can't you convince them to quit" tabby asks
"No way a lot of these guys haven't worked in months they'll take whatever they can get even if they're being exploited or abused" Archie says
"Which gives Percival the upper hand" tabitha says
"Which means fangsy is in for it" I sigh worried about him sweetpea runs my back
"He knows how to handle himself and he knows we got his back if it comes to it plus he has the connection" sweetpea tries to reassure
"For the moment he has the upper hand but now that he's got a crew he's breaking all the promises that he made to get them to sign up he's also 100% anti union" Archie says
"Of course he is unions literally unite people and United people are more difficult to control and Percival as we know is all about control" tabitha says
"And tweed" Cheryl says
"He's trying to break the workers spirits their resolve a lot of these guys have spent most of their lives working union jobs" Archie says
"Only if we could find them some permanent jobs in riverdale that they won't feel the need to work for Percival" I say
"Instead of finding them all jobs maybe I can do some old fashioned agitating remind them that Percivals values are the exact opposite of their own that he doesn't care about them we might be able to get them to vote to unionize" Archie says
"So that instead of quitting the workers would strike" tabby says
"So work on the railway would stop this could work I'm in" sweetpea says
"And once again we're in a battle for the towns soul what exactly can I do? Sing Bruce Springsteen covers? No thank you dua lipa or bust" Cheryl asks
"Ah no Cheryl but the blossoms and the Pickens have a long history of working together" Archie says
"For which I am deeply ashamed" Cheryl says
"Are there any family records or documents that you could raid for damning evidence we could use against Percival?" I ask
"As a matter of fact a friend and I are currently in the process of cataloguing the blossom archives I'll let you know if I find any dish or dirt ave" Cheryl says
'Thank you' I mouth
"Now can I please go" Cheryl asks standing up leaving
"And Archie if you really want to rally support against Percival one of my waitresses heard that Percivals apparently making his crew pay for their own coffee so why don't we head down there in one of my pops trucks and you know innocently hand out some free cups of joe" tabitha says and I smile
"Suggest they start hanging out here the headquarters of the resistance" I say
We get pops truck and go over there handing out coffee when I seen Frank pissed walking over i whistle to get Archie's attention "in coming" I mumble handing out a cup to fangs
"Cup of coffee uncle Frank it's free" Archie says
"This is against company policy" Frank says
"Calm down Frank we're just stopping by to let everyone know about a new special we're having at pops in honor of our new location" tabitha says
"Twenty-five sent burgers" I say loudly to which the crew behind us Whoop
"Same price as they were back in '49" I add
"Yeah you know the year the unions first came to riverdale" Archie says
"Swing by after your shift fellas we're having a bit of an open mic night" tabitha says and Frank walks off mad "bye" tabitha says smiling and I smirk and drink my coffee
That night alec and sweet pea and Adrain came to pops alec had Adrian as sweets sat with fangs catching up as we served burgers
"Thank you" fangs says as tabitha and I sat good down in front of fangs and sweets
Archie came over "so I heard Percival changed the terms of your contract" Archie says
"Big time longer hours lower pay no overtime" fangs says
"You know you have options rights that protect you from this kind of abuse" Archie says
"You're talking about unionizing Percivals never gonna go for that" their friend carlos says
"No he won't" Archie says sitting next to sweet pea "because he wants all the power for himself but Carlos you used to be a union man your dad was too just like mine" Archie says
"Yeah" Carlos agrees
"The union protected them it can protect you" Archie says
"We can't quit Archie" fangs says
"Who said anything about quitting fangs" I say
"We're reminding you that you're the one's building the railroad while Percival sits in his champagne suite" Archie says
"Plus you took the job for better money and benefits but those aren't being given to you" sweet pea says
"And carlos your right probably Percival will say no if you ask to unionize but what's the harm in trying" Archie says
That night I go home with Adrian on the couch playing with him as sweet pea and Alec watched tv
The next day I watched from the pops counter as Percival spoke to sweet pea and Archie
Once he left sweet pea told me Percival asked them to join his team which I literally laughed about.
Later I went to the office to get a bit of work done as Archie and sweet pea held a meeting
After I went home I sat down to do wedding planning finally as Adrian did tummy time on a mat when sweet pea walked in on the phone pissed "don't call here again" sweet pea says hanging up
"Who's that" I ask
"Percival threatening me don't back off people are going to get hurt" he says he kissed my head and sat down with me
"Let's just get married at the court house and then after Percival have a wedding" sweet pea says
"We will have more time that way" I say
"So tomorrow?" He asks me
"It's a date" I say and kiss his lips
That night we got a babysitter and went over to Cheryl's with Archie
"Ok so I'm still doing research on Percival la ghost train but my friend and I did chance upon some pretty damning missives between my great uncle Brayden blossom" Cheryl says handing me a letter which Archie and sweet pea look at to
"And Percivals great grandfather Paxton Pickens that should help your cause" Cheryl says
"This is about the strike in 49" Archie says
"Indeed some bracing shocking stuff do with it as thou wilt" Cheryl says
We go to pops for a bit to help out and get some dinner there
Tabitha and Archie sit us down to help talk to the construction crew
"Archie sweet pea and Avery and I we heard about what happened to sal" tabitha says
"And we're so sorry" I add
"We offered to help with medical expenses we also asked if Percival had called to check in yet" tabitha says
"He hadn't" sweet pea says
"Look Percival is not a good guy and this job this railway is not a good job but I've already said my piece about that so we thought we would read some words written by Percivals great grandfather after he learned that the minors voted to strike in '49" Archie says and nods to tabitha
"These ingrates must be stopped they threaten us with talk of unions they demand fair wages and compensation respect dignity but I tell you there's more value in the mules that carry the palladium out of our mines than in these so called men we must break their backs and remind them of their place which is beneath our heels" tabitha says
"His great grandfather wrote that?" Fangs asks
"Yes" I answer
"Make no mistake Percival is a tyrant which is why he doesn't want us to unite so I guess what I'm asking you is in your heart of hearts what do you want to do now?" Archie asks
"Fangs we are serpents do you really want to be under this evil guy? It's like if you went to work under the ghoulies back in high school" sweet pea says
After the small meeting we go home and I started to practice my powers I was able to create a force field and hold it for long but I manipulated it with much practice to put it in my hands and create power to shoot it out like electricity so I had an offense and defense
Sweetpea went from being able to know where people were at every moment to being able to teleport his body small movements for now but he's working on growing it
We were preparing for the upcoming battle sweet pea was making a safe room out of our garage sir the night of the battle for alec and Adrian
Sweet pea gets a call from fangs and he comes over and kisses me
"What" I ask him
"We're not rebranding and they are putting Anthony in the serpents and fangs asked if we wanted Adrian to also be one I said I'd talk to you" sweet pea says
"That's great and of course what will his serpent name be?" I ask him
"What about viper" he says
"You have thought about it" I say and he smiles "of course I have" he answers
"Well I love it" I say and kiss his lips
"We need to talk about something else Kevin" he says
"What about him?" I ask
"He took Anthony's pacifier we don't know why" sweet pea says
"Anthony and Adrian are riverdales future sweetpea that's scared Percival so from now on both baby's need to be under the protection of the serpents and Adrian can not go out of our sights Kevin loves Anthony but he's under Percivals spell he will do anything for him let's keep this between us I don't wanna scare fangs and Toni they are already doing what they need to" I say
The next day I get a call from Betty she told me how her brother got blood poisoning and v cured him and how he has an idea on how to catch tbk
I stopped by the diner with Adrian to talk to tabitha on how Archie is telling Percival that his crew is now on strike before I go meet with Betty
We get to my sisters
"Thank you for your help with Charles I know it was risky having his contaminated blood running through your body" Betty says to v
"I felt a bit flu-ey afterwards but then it was fine but how are you b it's been quite the emotional roller coaster for you lately and you a I haven't spoken to you in a minute" v says
"I mean I stopped my mom from making a huge mistake and we saved Charles life so I feel a bit relieved and optimistic about the future" Betty says
"Can I show you something cool?" I ask
"Go for it" v says I stand up and back away
"So it started out as being a fast healer I manipulated it into a force field" I say showing them my force field
"Nothing can penetrate it I can move it to other people as well" I say and move it to Betty
"And I can turn it into power in my hands" I say bringing it to my hands as white light emits from my hands
"And I can shoot it out like electricity" I say and let it dissolve
"Oh my god" v says
"That's amazing ave" Betty says to me
"We gotta prepare hard for this up coming battle" I say sitting down "but first let's focus on why we're here" I say to Betty
"Right can we book your casino for a special event?" Betty asks
"A fan convention" I say
"Sure fun I mean we have ample floor space like a comic con?" V asks
"Sort of but it would be a convention for fans of....serial killers" Betty says and v is speechless
