I sat with fangs and sweet pea at pops just hanging out with them and talking. Fangs told us about his side hustle with kev about tickling on camera
"So it pays a lot? Babe we should do that" sweets says "Yeah hell no but you go ahead babe as long as it's not with a chick I would feel weird about that" I say and sweets laughs
The next day I sit in the serpent room as Betty gets called to the principals office
The next day I get stopped by some hillbilly looking dudes as I'm on the way to pops.
"Your a lodge right?" The older dude asks
I fix my jacket so they would see it
"That depends who's asking" I say they had bats
"Malloys the name, this is a warning tell your sister to leave the rum business or less" he says and I look at the bats
"What the hell" I mumble and get into him face "I don't know who you are but if you mess with my sister and my friend you mess with me, so why don't you stop being a little bitch and get some balls and actually make good rum otherwise you wouldn't need to be scaring high school girls" I say
"That's it" he says and I get hit with the bat I drop to the ground.
"Tell your sister what I said or it will be worse next time" he says and leaves.
I groan and pick myself up I take my phone out and see my face is covered in blood
I walk into pops
"Oh my god Avery what happened" pops says I threw myself against the counter almost falling over "What the fuck Avery" fangs asks "What happened?" Reg asks "I'll call an ambulance" kev says "No kev don't, I got jumped god my sister is in some deep shit" I say and take the cloth from pop
"Sit down in at least calling sweet pea" fangs says "Fangs you better tell him if he comes he's not finding out who did this, I'll handle it" I say and fangs nods
Reggie gets some ice and helps clean me up. Sweets gets there soon and he's pissed "Just give me a name Avery" sweets says "Sweets no. I can handle it ok if I need you guys I will call ok. I have to go find my sister and Cheryl" I say I kiss his cheek and go to Cheryl's maple club
"Holy fuck Avery what happened?" V asks
"I don't know you tell me v I was enjoying my day about to pick up a shift at pops when a bunch of hillbilly's jumped me says I need to tell you to drop this business so I'm not apart of this but these guys made me by jumping me. How are we gonna end them?" I ask her
"I'm sorry I got you involved" v says to me
"It don't matter I'm involved now meaning I wanna beat these assholes" I say Cheryl gives me some pain meds and some rum and numb the pain.
The next day I drop off off some pictures for the year book
