That night as I get text from my dad I hear Nick st Clair got into a car accident even though it will take several months for Nick to recover.
The next morning
We got another letter from the black hood, it was spread fast

"People of riverdale, I have rid this town of the drug- dealing child killer and others like him, now, you must choose your fate. The next 48 hours will be a test. And I will be watching you very closely. Show me you are pure of heart, and my work ends. Continue to sin, and I will take up the sword again" I read as I sat with sweet pea

"Scary, are you a sinner?" He asks me

"Isn't everyone in their own way, my dad is a con man" I say

"Then I'll protect you from this lunatic" he says

"I'll see you later I got to go to school, so do you my sweets" I say to him

"Let me drop you off" he says and grab his jacket. He drops me off at home and I get dressed.

After school I head home where v is. The next few days I go to school and hang out with sweet pea.

I go to pops where v and Betty are I sit down when I hear pops answer the phone.

"That was him on the phone. The black hood" pops says and Archie stands up so do I and Betty and Cheryl

"He says that we've failed his test. That we're all sinners, that the reckoning is upon us" pope says

A few days go by and i go to school me archie and v go into the blue and golds room and see jughead and Betty

"So the reason we called you guys in here" Betty says
"My dads getting out of jail" jughead says "oh my god" I say smiling

"Jug, that's.. that's great" Archie says

"Yeah, what heralded this miracle?" V asks

"Uh overcrowding at the jail, I guess the judge reviewed my dads case and after Cheryl's testimony it was a perfect storm" jug says

"Oh please take me with you when you tell the rest of the serpents" I say

"Of course Avery you can come" yes I say

"What do you need from us jug" Archie asks

"Both of us we have a new lead on the black hood case and jughead and I were wondering if you guys would follow up on it for us" Betty asks

"I can't I'm going with jug" I say

"Well of course, but we can give you all of the details, the articles" Betty says

"It's just that I have to be there for my dad to help with his re-entry so" jughead says

"Uh yeah and I'm just taking a break from the black hood." Betty says

"Wait so, you want us to be you guys" v asks

"Essentially, yes" jughead says

V and Archie look at each other

"Is there a problem with that?" Jughead asks

And they shake their heads no.

I get home with v and see the sheriff

"Sheriff Keller" v says

"Veronica, Avery" he says and leaves

"What was he doing here?" V asks

"The shadow of the black hood has finally landed on our home. We received a letter" our mom says

"What?" I say
