Hi Readers: What did you think of that little business chapter that I wrote for you guys? I promise that I am going to start writing more business chapters for this story, as that's part of the story now. But I just like the intimate time so much, and that's what I'm going to do for you now. Hope you continue to enjoy the story. Here's Chapter One Hundred and Forty-Four.
XXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

It didn't take long for Matt to make his way back up to the penthouse this morning, as he wanted to spend time with his wife; and boy was he glad that he was finally home, as it meant that he didn't have to go a second longer away from the woman he loves. Oh, and the sight that was in front of him. And just what sight might that be? Well, it's the sight of his wife wearing nothing but her underwear and one of his dress shirts, while she stands in the kitchen as she makes herself some breakfast; after all, he did already have some breakfast this morning prior to having gone downstairs. He needed to after all, as he didn't know how long he was going to be downstairs working; but if he could go back and not be downstairs this morning, he wouldn't...not even if it meant that he got to see Gabby put his shirt on top of her braless chest (she's always braless when she wears his shirt after all). And boy, is it sexy. He just loves it when she doesn't wear a bra.

And that's especially the case when she's against his chest, with nothing but a simple piece of fabric in between the both of them. But there was another reason why he was going to like the fact that she wasn't wearing a bra, as it would give him some comfort; comfort as he talks to his wife about Andy, which is something that he wants to do after he had that exact conversation with Heather. He never expected that topic to come up, as it's a topic that's hard for her to talk about; heck, it's still a topic that's hard for him to talk about. And that's even the case when he talks about it with Gabby. But sharing how he's feeling of late with Gabby, well he has to do that; especially since he's starting to wonder whether he has PTSD. He just hates that he spoke about it with Heather before he spoke about it with Gabby, which is something that he needs to rectify by talking to her about it today. And he hopes that she's open to talking about it right now, as he needs to right now.

He wants to know whether, based on what she sees sometimes; that he has PTSD like Jay does after the trauma that he's gone through. And not just with having lost Andy the way he did (when he died literally before his eyes), but how he lost Hallie (in a fire when he was a firefighter); and then the abuse that he suffered as a kid. Add in the fact that he feels so conflicted at times when it comes to how he got his money, thanks to his abusive father; it really makes him want to talk to people sometimes, especially Gabby. And he definitely needs to do that right now, before she gets mad at him for not talking to her about it first; after all, she's going to be the one who helps him deal with the situation, just like he sees Alex do for Jay all the time. And that's why there's no doubt in his mind that Gabby would do the same for him. In fact, he believes that she would go above and beyond to make sure that she helps him through this confusing time.

And that's actually something that he know she's going to do after he does the right thing, and tell her how he feels; it's the right thing to do, and he knows it. So, they are going to talk about it as husband and wife so that they can get it out of the way. Making his way over to Gabby, Matt smiled as he set his work bag near the stairs (which led them upstairs); before making his way into the kitchen. Walking up right behind Gabby, he put his hands on her hips; which was definitely something that Gabby didn't expect. "Shit, who the hell found out the code to..." Turning Gabby around in his arms this morning, Matt smirked as he looked at his beautiful wife. Putting her hands on Matt's chest shortly after realizing that it was him. "Oh, sorry baby." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, proceeding to step close to her as he wrapped his arms around her together; at the same time, he smiled while staring into those gorgeous eyes of hers. Those beautiful eyes.

At the same time, Gabby put her hands on Matt's back while leaning up to kiss him softly. "Hey you." Matt smiled when he heard Gabby say that. "Sorry I wasn't here this morning." Gabby shook her head when Matt said that, not wanting him to apologize for not being here this morning; anyways, he does have to work on the business more often now. "It's okay, you get an idea for the business." Matt sighed when Gabby asked him that. "I just wanted to get some work done. Since we didn't work yesterday, and I just felt like I needed to get some work done." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that. "You could've done it here at home baby." Matt agreed with his wife, smiling. "Yeah, I could. But I want to get used to the routine of going to the office." Gabby nodded, agreeing with Matt when he said that; before watching as he let her go. The reason he let her go? It was so that she could make herself some breakfast this morning.

"Just keep making yourself some breakfast. But I might make myself some coffee, as I definitely need it after having looked at the screen for a bit; and having a bit of a conversation with Heather." Turning her attention away from the pancakes that she was making, Gabby looked at Matt. "Heather? What was she doing in the office?" Matt smiled. "Just exploring the space before we start working in the office next week. I think it's time." Gabby agreed with Matt as he mentioned that it's time that they start working in the office during the week. "Definitely. However, I think we also need to start rotating weekends here and at our other place." Matt was confused when he heard Gabby tell him that. "Is there a reason?" Gabby sighed. "We need to make the nurseries." Matt agreed with his wife when she told him that, but he could clearly see that she was a bit stressed about the fact that they need to make some nurseries both here, and at their other home.

"Are you worried that we aren't going to get things done on time?" Gabby took a breath as she looked at Matt when he asked her that, which prompted Matt to make his way back over to Gabby so that he could hold her in his arms once again. Wrapping his arms around Gabby, Matt stepped close to her and kissed her forehead softly; afterwards, Gabby put her hands on his arms. "I just...I have a lot on my plate right now." Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that, before smiling at his girl. "We both do." Matt nodded. "Do you want to just take it easy today baby? I can do that if you need to. I mean, I was just going to work from bed today for a bit; as I am trying to get things start. But if you need to talk to me..." Gabby sighed. "Yeah, I was going to work too. I want to get some designs done, and I want to get a few products out so that we can start making money." Matt sighed when he heard Gabby say that, as he thought that she was feeling pressure to do so.

"Baby, hey. You don't need to worry about that. Please, don't worry about having to turn a profit in your first year. Is that why you were tossing and turning a bit last night?" Gabby sighed when Matt asked her that, which prompted Matt to do the same. He then proceeded to just look at his beautiful wife while he kissed her forehead softly, and put his hands on her stomach. "Baby, you have no need to worry about making a profit this year; and I mean that." Gabby just took a breath, while looking up at her loving husband. At the same time, Matt decided to move his hand to her neck; leaning in, he then went ahead and kissed the woman of his dreams softly. Smiling as she felt Matt kiss her, Gabby wrapped her arms around his back as she stepped close to her husband. "Just take it easy okay baby. I promise that we're all going to be okay." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, smiling as she laid her head down on Matt's chest right now; which is perfect.

"I'm also going to be renting our floors nine through twelve remember?" Gabby agreed. "Right, I forgot about all of that." Matt nodded as he heard Gabby say that, stepping close to Gabby before pressed a kiss to her forehead so that he could get her to relax this morning. "I hope you know that I'm here if you need to talk." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, smiling as she looked up at the man she loves more than anything in the entire world; and the future father of her children. "I swear, I am such a lucky woman to have you as my husband." Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that, smiling as he put his hands on her neck. He then leaned in and proceeded to kiss Gabby softly, taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "Listen, I need to talk to you about something." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that. "Right now." Matt shook his head. "Just at some point in the future, maybe upstairs in bed."

Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, smiling as that's definitely something that they can do. "Do you want to go upstairs now?" Matt took a breath. "I think I might go up, unless you want me to make you some breakfast?" Gabby shook her head. "NO, I got it baby. Go upstairs, take it easy and just relax. We can work up there later, because I feel like you need to talk to me right now." Matt took a breath when he heard Gabby tell him that as that's definitely something that he needs to do. "Yeah, I need to talk to you." Gabby agreed with her husband when he said that, smiling as she went ahead and grabbed his hand. "Listen, how about you go up to bed and just relax? No work for a bit okay? I feel like you need to talk to me." Matt agreed with Gabby. "You going to eat first?" Gabby nodded. "It's almost done." Matt then smirked. "You want to have fun when you're upstairs." Gabby shook her head. "Not a chance. Just go upstairs mister." Matt agreed.

Walking away, he smirked as he went to grab his bags so that he could make his way upstairs. At the same time, he took one last glance at his gorgeous wife. "I'll be in bed." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, smiling as she watched him walk away to head upstairs; however, she was also waiting for him to go as she wanted to do something else. And that would be call Heather. And no, it's not because she's jealous; rather, it's because she's concerned. She wants to know what Matt and Heather spoke about, so that she can know what she's walking into when she goes upstairs. Moving to grab her AirPods, Gabby went to put them in her ears before grabbing her phone. She then went to look through her contacts to go find Heather's contact that she has in her phone. She then went ahead and proceeded to give their friend a call.

Gabby's POV:
As I waited for Heather to answer the call I was making to her, I continued to make the pancakes for myself; before deciding to make a couple extra for Matt, as know that he didn't really eat that big of a breakfast today. He probably just had some cereal or something, which definitely isn't enough when he's worried. But now, I need to speak to Heather. "Hey boss." I laughed when I heard Heather say that, as I definitely liked hearing her tell me that. "Hey Heather." Heather then spoke up. "So, is there a reason that I'm speaking to both Mr. and Ms. Casey this morning?" I agreed with Heather when she said that, taking a breath. "Yeah, that's actually what I'm calling about; Matt was just here, and I wanted to know what you said. But first, let me say that I have no jealousy; and I am just worried for him, as I feel like something's up with him." Heather sighed when I asked her that. "I just don't want to get him in trouble. He wants to talk to you; I know that he does Gabby."

I agreed with Heather when she told me that, well aware that was the case. "Oh, I know that. And I promise to you right now, that I am not going to give him hell. I'm just worried for him. What's going on Heather?" Heather took a breath when I asked her that, obviously well aware that she feels an obligation not to reveal what Matt told her in confidence; but I felt like she knew at the same time, that I needed know. "Matt's starting to wonder whether if he has PTSD." I took a breath when Heather said that, just concentrating on finishing up my pancakes. Putting them on my plate, I sighed. "To tell you the truth, I have been worried about that too." Heather seemed shocked. "Really?" I agreed with her when she asked me whether I've really been worried as to whether he has PTSD. Carrying my food over to the bar that we have here in the kitchen, I set it down before going to sit down on the bar stool. "Yeah, I have." I then took a breath and sighed.

"I can only assume that you know his background? I mean with..." Heather agreed with me. "Yeah, he told Andy about his background with his father." I agreed with her. "Yeah, that was something that I wasn't sure whether you know about. But definitely, I know that he has to have something from that. But is there another reason why he thinks about it? I just have this feeling that you're trying to hold something back." Heather sighed. "It's because of the fact that Andy died right in front of his eyes, and he said that stays in his head all the time. He even told me that he has a hard time one the anniversary of his death. I know, I should not be one telling you this but..." I shook my head. "Hey, like I said; you're not in trouble. And I'm not mad at Matt. All I want is for him to get it out somehow, which is what he's doing with our friends. And I definitely plan on talking to him about it when we're alone too." Heather agreed with me as I said that. "Gabby, I promise that's all that..."

I then went to speak up. "Heather, I'm pregnant with our twins; and I know that he sees you like his sister-in-law, because he always saw Andy as a brother. I know for a fact that he's never going to sleep with you. Plus, he's scared of even cheating on me." Heather was confused. "OK. I am not even going to say that he would do that, because I know that's not Matt. But can I ask why he's scared." I laughed when she asked me that. "My brother is a former cop, and a boxer." Heather laughed when I said that, understanding what I was trying to say. "Oh, I get it now. He's scared to make him mad, because he knows that he's going to have to deal with him afterwards." I agreed with her. "That, and because we just renewed our vows. I know that our marriage is solid, and it's always going to be solid; and that's why I'm never going to be jealous. But Heather, I do want to ask you for a favor." Heather agreed with me. "Hey, of course Gabby; what is it? Need advice on pregnancy."

I laughed when she asked me that. "I will definitely think about it. But, I just wanted to ask you to maybe keep me in the loop if he ever speaks to you about it. I know that you guys can talk about it, because you were his wife; and Matt was his best friend, so you guys have always leaned on each other." Heather agreed with me when I said that. "Yeah, we did. And I'm so glad that Matt's always been there for me and the boys." I smiled when she said that. "And we'll both be here for you guys as long as you need us." Heather agreed with me. "But I think you definitely need to talk to Matt about it today, I mean if you can." I agreed with Heather. "I think I will. But I also understand his loss, as I lost Shay in front of my eyes remember?" Heather agreed with me. "Yeah, I am so sorry that happened. I heard about it, and I wanted to reach out...but it was also the second anniversary." I agreed with Heather when she told me that. "I'm better now, I promise. But thanks for the thought."

I then went to tell her. "She died on the day Boden got married." Heather was shocked. "Shut up!" I agreed with her. "Yeah, we got a call while he was getting married at the firehouse. Matt actually proposed to me that day." I then took a breath. "I said no of course, then we did it again; and god, I swear...we had the best celebration. Girl, it was so hot. And I still have no clue how we didn't get pregnant after that celebration!" Heather laughed as I said that. "I'm just glad that you guys are pregnant now, because Matt is going to be a great dad." I agreed with her when she said that. "I know what you mean, because I watched him take care of your boys all those years ago; and he was an impeccable father to them. I mean..." Heather agreed with me. "Hey, take a breath Gabby; I understand what you mean." I agreed with her, smiling as she said that. "By the way, I am so sorry that woman just crashed your vow renewal." I agreed with her. "Yeah, not a topic...."

Heather agreed. "Hey, I got it. But listen, we need to start hanging out. Just the two of us." I smiled when I heard Heather tell me that, as I really liked that idea; after all, I do need to talk to her sometime. "Oh, definitely. I need to talk to a fellow mom to two boys, and get some pointers." Heather laughed when I said that, agreeing with me. "I'll start writing you some notes, maybe I can send you an e-mail with them." I agreed with her when she said that. "Specifically how to deal with two boys at once." Heather laughed. "Well, I didn't have twins; but I twill try my best. Now listen, I know that you and Matt are definitely going to be spending some time together. How about you go do that?" I agreed with Heather when she told me that, definitely ready to do just that. "Thanks Heather." Heather agreed with me as we both hung up. Afterwards, I took a breath and heard the shower start. Well, I smiled as well go join my man in the shower if he decided to start the shower.
