Hello Readers, and welcome to another day of chapters. I wanted to just let everybody know first that I posted a new chapter in my one-shot book if you guys are interested in reading it. Now, let's not waste time and just get to it.

It took Matt a good 15-20 minutes to make him and Gabby some really nice pancakes this morning, along with the tea that Matt knows Gabby really enjoys; tea that he also knows allows her to rest and just take it easy, which is something that he really hopes she does today after she had such a bad morning. Heck, a bad 24 hours. Both yesterday, and this morning have not been nice to Gabby; and he really hopes that will change. Another thing that he hopes Gabby will do today? Is get some rest. Gabby is going to need to take a nap at some point, due to the fact that she woke up so early. And Matt was going to make sure that it happens at some point. But right now, that wasn't his priority. Rather, his priority was getting some food in his wife so that she can take it easy and just relax. And that was exactly what he did for her this morning. He made her some nice pancakes that they were going to enjoy with each other this morning. He just hopes that Gabby doesn't mind the fact that he also brought himself a coffee that he plans to enjoy today. As much as he knows that she hates the smell of coffee, daddy needs some coffee since he didn't sleep the best last night. Let's just says that he had some bad dreams too.
He just wonders whether he should even burden his wife with them, considering she had some bad dreams of her own. Well, he hopes that he doesn't have to since that might mean she has more troubles. Nonetheless, that's (once again) not what he has to concentrate on right now. Rather, he needs to concentrate on giving his wife the food that she needs to enjoy both for her sake, and for the sake of their children. The children that they both love more than anything in the entire world. Just walking into their bedroom, Matt smiled when he saw Gabby laying back in bed just like she was when he left to go make them some breakfast; heck, it didn't even look like she moved whatsoever in the past 15-20 minutes since she left. "So, you look quite comfortable." Gabby snickered when she heard Matt say that, as that was exactly how she was feeling at the moment. She was very comfortable in their bed, and she was ready to cuddle up to the man she loves more than anything in the entire world once more. "And I'm ready to get even more comfortable when you join me in bed today." Matt agreed with Gabby when she told him that, smiling as that was exactly what he planned on doing today as well.
He wants to join his girl in bed, and he wants to cuddle up to her all day as they do their Black Friday shopping in bed. That's going to be really nice, and he's glad that this is the activity that they already plan to do today. They are going to get so much stuff for their kids, and he really hopes that they have the gender right. "So, you're sure that you want to say it's daughters? Because we can always buy some boy stuff too today just in case." Matt agreed with his wife when she said that, smiling. "I guess we can buy one or two things in case. Or we can get a bunch of neutral things for now." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, liking that idea more as she went to sit up. "Do you want to sit in my lap as we eat breakfast?" Gabby smiled when Matt asked her whether she wants to sit in his lap as they eat breakfast. "Depends, did you already cut the pancakes?" Setting the tray of food down on their bed, Matt smiled as he went ahead and then grabbed the drinks that he got for the both of them. "Don't you know it." Carrying their drinks to her side table, Matt smiled. "Juice is for you. The mug has coffee in it, and it's for me." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that. "Obviously." Matt laughed.
"You miss your coffee, don't you?" Gabby agreed with Matt when he asked her whether she misses her coffee, which she does more than anything in the entire world. "Please, stop reminding me that I can't drink coffee. Meanwhile, you can drink coffee all you want!" Matt laughed when he heard Gabby say that, well aware of the fact that she was really missing her coffee right now. "Hey, it's for the good of our children." Gabby agreed with Matt. "Yes, yes it is. And that's why I'm doing this." Matt smirked when he heard Gabby say that. "So, what are we doing when it comes to our sitting situation? Are you going to sit in my lap? Or are we sitting down next to each other?" Gabby smiled when Matt asked her how they're going to sit with each other. "I think I want to cuddle up to my husband, and he can feed me. Is that an option?" Matt agreed with Gabby when she asked him whether it was an option, leaning over her before kissing her softly. "That's the best option for the both of us." Gabby laughed, blushing a bit when she heard Matt tell her that it's the best option. "I feel the same way." Matt nodded, smirking when he heard Gabby say that she feels the same way. "Then, you need to move out of my way please. Then, I can get in bed and let you cuddle up to me like you want to." Gabby agreed with her husband, smiling.
Making sure that she was out of his way, Gabby smiled as she opened the covers for her loving husband. Afterwards, Matt walked up next to the bed and proceeded to sit down in bed like Gabby wanted him to do right now. Afterwards, he slipped his legs under the covers; which is where they need to be right now as it's going to allow Gabby to sit in his lap comfortably, which is what they both want after all. Slipping down in bed while adjusting his pillow, Matt smiled once he was (finally) all comfortable in bed; and that meant that he was now ready to have his beautiful wife come cuddle up to him where he can feed her. "Come here gorgeous." Gabby agreed with Matt when he asked her to come lay down in his arms this morning, wanting to do just that so that they can eat breakfast together this morning. After all, there's nothing like Matt feeding her the pancakes that he made for her. Just laying down in his arms right away, Gabby wrapped her arms around his torso while laying her head down on his heart. Afterwards, Matt grabbed the blankets and adjusted them so that Gabby was comfortable right now. "Maybe don't get too comfortable baby, I need to get up to go put the plates downstairs." Gabby then thought about that. "Then let's sit down next to each other as we eat." Matt sighed. "But we just got comfortable."
Gabby looked up at her man when he said that, not happy that they're arguing about something so stupid. "Baby, this is so stupid. Can you please just pick where you want me to sit? Please baby, just tell me where I'm going to sit right now. I need to know so that I can eat." Matt agreed with Gabby. "Just lean back against my chest, makes it easier. Plus, I already know that you're going to want to eventually change your shirt." Gabby laughed, agreeing with Matt as she went ahead and sat down in his lap, just loving how they're laughing with each other. Moving his chin on top of Gabby's head after she leaned back against his chest, Matt smiled as this is exactly how he wants to cuddle up to the woman he loves right now. "Well, this is very comfortable." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that. "I have to agree with you there, because this is very comfortable indeed." Going to grab the TV remote that they had on Gabby's side table, Matt went to turn the TV on so that they could find the Macy's Parade. "We recorded the NBC broadcast right?" Gabby agreed with Matt when he asked her if they recorded the NBC broadcast. "Oh definitely, that's the one I like the most. They have that big stage that's better."
Matt nodded as she told him that, putting the parade recording on before setting the remote down; afterwards, he went ahead and grabbed the food to start eating. "Do you want me to pause it if you fall asleep in my arms baby?" Gabby smiled as she looked up at him. "I love that idea. But there is something that we need to do at some point." Matt was confused when he heard Gabby say that. "And what's that?" Gabby sighed. "I want you to text Severide and see how he's doing." Matt thought about that. "Maybe we can do it over breakfast? Just make sure that he's okay...then we can call him again later?" Gabby agreed with Matt when he asked her that. "I like that idea baby." Matt smirked when she told him that, before going ahead with grabbing both his phone and the TV remote once again. Exiting the recording, Matt smiled. "We can start from the beginning. Now, should I call Stella first?" Gabby thought about it. "I'd call her, see how he is and whether he wants to talk." Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that. "I like that idea." Gabby smiled, nodding. "You should listen to me more, women are wise that way." Matt laughed, kissing the top of her head as they held each other.
Afterwards, Matt proceeded to go ahead and called Stella this morning while he and Gabby ate their pancakes.

Matt's POV – Part 1:
Smiling as me and Gabby reached Stella this morning, I was glad that we were able to talk to her; as it meant that we were going to be able to get an update on both Benny, and on Severide...as I have been worried about them ever since we left the hospital. Taking a breath, I went ahead and just whispered to Gabby. "Can I speak to her first babe?" Gabby agreed with me, nodding. "Hello?" I smiled when I heard Stella. "Hey Stella, it's Matt and Gabby." Stella agreed. "Oh, hey guys. I uh...I guess I should've expected you guys to call." I agreed with Stella when she asked me that, hearing a bit of concern in her voice. "So, uhm. Where are you guys right now. Are you guys still at the hospital?" Stella agreed. "Yeah, we haven't left the hospital. Benny is still in his Coma, and I have been thinking of trying to get Kelly to leave; but he refuses to leave." I agreed with her when she said that before Gabby spoke up. "I'd let him stay Stella; they have a complicated relationship." I snickered a bit. "That's putting it lightly." Gabby then looked up at me, obviously not impressed with my comment.
I then just shut up. "Sorry Stella, he's just a bit worried for Benny too. Surrogate dad." Stella agreed with Gabby when she said that. "Yeah, and he likes to try and make things better with a bit of humor, not that you can really do it in this situation Matt." I agreed with Stella when she said that, well aware that's the case. "Well, I really hope that things are better. Do you know what the doctors are saying?" Stella sighed. "They're updating the family right now. Kelly's sister Katie is here too." I agreed with her when she said that, well aware of the fact that Severide has a half-sister. "Yeah, I would've expected Katie to go." Stella then went to speak to us. "How come I didn't know about her?" I shrugged. "Hey, not our job to tell you about Katie. You can ask your boyfriend that question." Stella agreed with me when I said that, well aware that it's not our job to tell her about the fact that Severide has a half-sister. "Okay, good point. So, how are you guys doing right now?" I smiled. "We're good. Trying to figure out what we're going to do for a month before I go back to work in January."
Stella was a bit confused. "Baby, she doesn't know yet." Stella then asked me. "Know what?" I sighed. "I quit the house again. I see Benny as a dad, and with it happening on my first day back and Gabby being pregnant..." Stella understood what I meant. "Oh, okay. I get it. But January?" I agreed with her. "I'm going to teach at the Academy starting next term." Stella agreed with me. "Well, I love that idea for you. You're a great teacher. But we're going to miss you at the firehouse." I agreed with her. "I might join the floater pool." Gabby looked up at me when I said that. "I like that idea. For you to do floater jobs at Firehouse 51 only." I agreed with Gabby, bending down to kiss her forehead softly. I then whispered to her again. "Eat some more okay baby?" Gabby agreed, going to take another bite of breakfast this morning, before going ahead and talking to Stella a bit. "It'll be nice to have him home for a bit. We can work on the nursery." Stella laughed.
"Amongst other things that you're going to make him do for you." Gabby then went to speak up. "May I remind you that, even thought Matt doesn't work at the firehouse anymore...he does still have the rank of Captain in the CFD." Stella agreed with Gabby when she said that. "Yes Ms. Captain Casey. Wait, does that mean that we're not going to have you on Ambo in the future?" Gabby took a breath. "I think that was always going to be the case girl. We're having twins after all." I agreed with Gabby when she said that, clearly seeing that she was having some trouble. I then went to rub her stomach. "We can talk after we eat okay baby?" Gabby agreed. "Listen, I'll let you go okay girl. Have a good day." Gabby agreed again, smiling. "You too girl." Gabby then went to end the call, taking a breath. We then both just sat in silence for a while, finishing up with our breakfast this morning so that I could bring our plates downstairs for the both of us. But I already knew that this wasn't over, this conversation was actually just getting started.

It didn't take long for Matt to do what he had to do in the kitchen once he and Gabby both finished eating, that being due to the fact that he already did most of the dishes while he was making them some tea this morning. Well, and due to the fact that he was rushing a bit. However, that didn't mean that he didn't do a good job when it came to washing the dishes for him and Gabby this morning; rather, he made sure to take the right amount of time to do the dishes (he has a counting system for dishes). And now, with him having done the dishes, it means that there's nothing else he has to do right now. Well, that can't be done in bed with Gabby at the moment. He knows full well that there's a bunch that he still has to do for his wife in bed, including giving her some comfort as they talk about something that really seems to be bothering her. And that would be the topic that Stella mentioned at the end of their call, her going back to Ambo 61 in the future (and if she event wants to do that). They should probably talk about that, as he knows that she's going to be a bit conflicted; especially when Matt left the firehouse, which would mean that he isn't on shift with her (and that's something she's really like).
So, that was on the top of her mind right now; and that was not something that she wanted, as she would much rather be thinking about her and Matt's twins that she (also) dreamed about the night before. And that was something that was quite odd, as the dream was very different than any dream that she's had before about their twins; more specifically, the gender of the twins that she's currently pregnant with. In all of their previous dreams, their twins have been girls; Bella and Sofia. But in her latest dream, she had twin boys first: Jameson David and Matteo Andrew. Those were the names of the sons that she and Matt had first in her latest dream, and she had to admit that she did like the names; but she was just wondering if that was really the future that they have ahead of them, boys instead of girls. And how would Matt feel about that? Would he be okay with them having twin boys first instead of daughters? There were so many questions that Gabby had on her mind right now, and she really wanted to talk to Matt about them so that she can clear them out of her head right now. And Matt knew that, which was why he made sure to do the dishes before he came back; to let her have a minute to think.
"So, did you take another minute to think about what you need to talk to me about while I was going?" Being brought back to reality by the sound of her husband's voice in their room, Gabby turned her head to see him. "No, I was just watching the parade. It's really nice to see everything that's happening." Matt snickered a bit when he heard Gabby say that, because she's such a good liar. "You're such a good liar." Gabby looked at Matt when he told her that she's lying. "Oh, and just how do you know that I'm lying when it comes to what I'm thinking about?" Matt smiled when Gabby asked him how he knows that she's lying about what she's thinking about. "Because I know my wife better than anybody, and I know that when your face is like that...it's your thinking face." Gabby sighed, agreeing with Matt when he mentioned that the face she was just making was her thinking face. "You do know me too well." Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that, smiling because that was the truth. "What'd I tell you baby? I know you, and you can't hide that type of stuff from me. I've picked up on your cues now." Gabby agreed with Matt, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear as it was flying in her face.
She then went to grab the covers, as she was a bit cold. "Hey, you okay baby? You seem to be grabbing the covers more each and every time you tug them up." Gabby sighed. "It's the fan." Matt looked up at the ceiling fan when he heard Gabby say that, understanding exactly what she means when she says that. She's getting cold because the fan is blowing directly on her at the moment. "Then here, let me shut it off." Gabby looked at Matt when he told her that. "Oh no, you don't have to do that baby; you might..." Matt then went ahead and shut off the fan, ignoring the protests that his wife was making right now. "Baby, you're cold. And if you're cold, then I'm not going to keep the fan on,. Rather, I am going to shut it off to make sure that you're warm." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, really appreciating just how great her husband is. "I swear, I am not worthy of such a great husband like you." Matt snickered when he heard Gabby say that. "I can say the same about you, because you sure are a great wife." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, smiling at her husband. "Oh, just come over here so that I can give you a kiss now." Matt laughing, agreeing with his girl.
Walking over to the woman of his dreams as she laid down in their bed, Matt smirked due to the fact that he was ready to give her exactly what she wanted right now; a kiss from her husband ahead of him joining her in bed. So, he went ahead and made his way down the side of their bed to get nice and close to his wife. Sitting down next to her, Matt smiled as he put his hand on her stomach and stroked it with his thumb. "So, boys first?" Gabby laughed when she heard Matt ask her whether she thought that they were going to be having boys first. "Unfortunately." Matt shook his head when he heard Gabby tell him that it was unfortunate that they were having boys first, because that was not how he felt. All that mattered to him (at the end of the day) was that their babies were healthy. That's truly all that mattered to Matt. Getting close to his beautiful wife, Matt smiled as he stroked her stomach and then leaned over her so that he can give her a sweet kiss. At the same time, Gabby put her hand on Matt's face as they kissed each other softly. "Never say that us having boys is unfortunate, as I will take whatever gender children we're blessed with; because they will make me a father baby."
Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, smiling as she put her hand on his face. Stroking his cheek with her thumb, Gabby smiled due to the fact that this was her dream life. She has the man of her dreams by her side, and that's exactly what she wants right now. She wants to have Matt as her husband, and she wants to have two beautiful babies by the end of next year. "I still can't believe it's twins." Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that, going to grab her hand when she put it on top of his. "I know, and I love that fact. That's really all that matters at the end of the day, that we're going to be parents next year. It's a dream come true, and I can't wait to have the title of dad." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, smiling as that's the title that she has always wanted to give him. "Good, because that's the title that I have always wanted to give you." Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that, leaning over her as he put his hand on the side of her face. Afterwards, he proceeded to take things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams; Gabriela Marie Casey.
"I love you, and I hope that you know for a fact that you truly are my whole world." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that she's his whole world. "I feel the same way baby, you're my whole world; and that will always be the case." Matt agreed with Gabby when she told him that he's her whole world, which made him blush; I mean, what man wouldn't want to blush when the woman he loves tells him that he's her whole world. "Well, for now. When the kids are born, I am definitely going to have some competition." Gabby laughed when she heard Matt say that he's going to have some competition. "Last time I checked, you had an advantage over our kids; one that will always exist." Matt smirked when he heard Gabby tell him that. "Oh really? And what's that advantage?" Bending down, Matt got really close to Gabby's lips as he put his hands on her neck. Putting her hand on Matt's face, Gabby smiled. "You're the only man that I'm going to want to make love to." Matt smirked when he heard Gabby say that, kissing his beautiful wife softly. "God, I want you so bad."
Gabby laughed when she heard Matt tell her that, agreeing with him. "Oh, I am well aware of the fact that you want me bad. But last time I checked, we agreed that we're going to rest today. Now, there is something else that I would like to talk to you about." Matt nodded when Gabby said that. "And what's that?" Gabby bit her lip. "Can you get in bed? This is something that I just thought about, and something that we need to think about." Matt agreed with Gabby. "Is everything okay?" Gabby agreed with Matt when he asked her if everything's okay. "Yeah, I'm good baby. Just join me in bed okay? Come sit with me, and we can talk." Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that, smiling as he proceeded to join the woman he loves in bed; cuddling up to her so that they could talk for a bit. More specifically, so that they could talk about their future with the CFD...if Gabby would ever want to go back to Ambo 61, which she may very well want to do in the future. And that opens up a whole other can of worms that they need to talk about, whether she would do it alone.

Matt's POV – Part 2:
Once I was back in bed with Gabby this morning, I smiled as I got close to her and wrapped my arm around her so that I could give her some comfort. After all, that's what she wants from me. She wants me to give her comfort whenever we're in bed with each other. But the real truth is that...I just really like holding her in my arms, whether she wants me to hold her in my arms or not. I will do it whenever I can, because it's a very comfortable position. Just feeling Gabby cuddle up to me, I smiled when she wrapped her arms around me and laid her head down on my chest. Slipping down in bed some more, I grabbed the blankets and adjusted them on top of the both of us so that we were as comfortable as we both could be. And let's just say that Gabby really appreciated it whenever I did that; she just loves laying down in my arms, and that's always going to be the case (especially when I feel the same way). Turning my head, I smiled as I kissed her forehead softly as we both held each other close. "Welcome to your prison for today." Gabby laughed as I told her that, finding me quite funny.
"Already working on your dad jokes I see." I smiled, agreeing with Gabby as I ran my hand up and down her back. "Yeah, I am. But listen, we need to talk about this right?" Gabby took a breath. "This being, my future on Ambulance 61?" I nodded, agreeing with my beautiful wife when she asked me whether I was talking about her hypothetical return to Ambo when I said 'it' in my previous question. "Yes, that was what I was referring to; as we already both agreed that I would stay out of the firehouse." Gabby took a breath when I said that. "You obviously wouldn't be comfortable with me going back, without you going back." I took a breath when Gabby asked me that. "Not after what happened to make you leave the house last time." Gabby sighed, looking down while reaching for my hand. Intertwining our fingers as he grabbed my hand, I kissed the top of her head while rubbing her back. "Baby, I just want what's best for you. I want to be there in case something happens too...because you aren't just going to be my wife if you go back, you're also going to be the mother of my children."
Gabby nodded when I told her that. "And I don't think that I could look our kids in the eyes, and tell them that you got hurt...and then say that daddy couldn't anything to prevent it. I would just hate that, and it's not something that I can live with baby." I took a breath and then whispered to Gabby. "Gabby, if you want to go back to Ambo; I promise that I will join you at the firehouse okay? I will go back too." Gabby looked up at Matt when he told her that. "Really?" Matt nodded when Gabby asked him whether he would really go back, if she wanted to go back. "Gabby, I love you more than anything in the entire world; and I just want you to be happy at the end of the day. If going back to the firehouse is what's going to make you happy, then I'll go back too; because there will never be a situation that I'm comfortable with where you go back to the firehouse without me."
