The next day I got up early and went to the office to see Betty I hugged her.
"Hey it's been awhile" I say she had sun glasses on
"Yeah can you turn the light off?" She asks me
I give her a confused look but I listen and turn the light off. "Thanks" she says taking her sunglasses off
"What's wrong?" I ask her
"Oh those headaches I was getting I found out they are triggered by light the brighter the light the more it hurts I'm guessing it's a side effect" Betty says
"Like jugs is his loss of hearing but I wondering if Archie has a side effect" I say
"I guess we'll have to wait and see and Jughead hearing thoughts never thought of that one" she says smiling
"What are we gonna do betts Percival is turning people against us he can't just by speaking to him" I say
"I hear he's gotten a interest in you" Betty says
"A weird one yeah" I mumble
I head to the town hall meeting that's being held
"The sheriffs department is pleased to announce that the town census is complete and the people of riverdale have spoken. And since the un-house problem have been dealt with their main source of anxiety is the ongoing gang warfare between the serpents and the ghoulies" Percival says and Toni and I give each other a look while everyone starts mumbling to each other
"Ms topaz, since your a member of the council of five and the serpent queen and ms lodge since your also a member of the council of five and the serpent queens right hand what do you two have to say about that?" Percival asks
"Well to begin with there is no war between the serpents and the ghoulies actuallt I've been in constant contact with the ghoulies leader Twyla Twyst in efforts to de escalate tension and I believe we're very close to declaring cease fire" Toni says
I look over to see fangs and sweet pea glaring at Percival
"And we've made sure Avery is no where near this because of the baby" Toni adds and I give her a small smile
"Well I wonder have you considered disbanding the serpents?" Percival asks and I growl
"Hell no" I growl and Toni puts her hand on my arm and sweet pea stands up
"Ok if I could just interject here ms topaz is not on trial neither is ms lodge your point has been noted mr Pickens now let's please move on to the next item on our agenda" tab says and fangs pulls sweet pea down
After the meeting me fangs sweets and Toni talk
"What the hell was that" fangs growls
"An ambush" Toni says
"Even the thought of disbanding the serpents" sweet says and scoffs
"Percival went after the folks in sketch alley and now he's coming after us" Toni says
"Hey, Toni fangs sweet pea Avery" kev says walking in with baby Anthony
"Oh hey prince" Toni giggles
"Hi" kev says as Toni takes the baby.
"How's my baby boy doing" Toni asks Anthony
"Yeah he's great he's great I'm bummed to let him go nervous given everything going on" kev says
"Oh don't be" Toni says
"I gotta be honest I'm having second thoughts about baby Anthony being raised around gang culture" kev says and I look at sweet pea who has his arm around my waist
"You mean as a serpent" fangs says
"Kevin I was raised as a serpent so was fangs and sweet pea" Toni says
"I know I know I'm just concerned for his safety that's all" kev says
After that Archie asks me to stay behind so I walk sweet pea to his bike and Alec went to one of his friends houses
"Who the hell do they think they are saying being a serpent is bad or being raised as a serpent is bad" sweet pea rants as he gets on his bike
"Percival must have gotten to him and convinced him somehow" I say
"Yeah maybe" he grumbles and leans over and kisses me
"I'll see you at home I love you" I say
"I love you too" he says and starts his bike I go back inside and go into the office where jug, Betty, and archie are
"Thanks for hanging behind guys something very very weird is happening in riverdale" archie says
"You mean besides us suddenly developing mutant abilities?" Betty says and I chuckle
"I'm talking about Percival Pickens you heard him he's been going around door to door meeting with everyone in town trying to recruit them your mom my uncle Frank sheriff Keller god knows who else" Archie says
"He's been trying to get me alone to talk to me" I say
"Ever since Percival sensed me in his mind I've been doing some research on heightened psychic abilities you know some people think that mind control is a real thing? Like skill the power of persuasion" Jug head says
"But persuading people to do what?" Betty asks
"Whatever he wants" I say
"But what does Percival want with riverdale?" Betty asks
"His family was one of the original settlers of the town maybe he feels he has claim to it" jug says
"Whatever it is it's not good" I say
"Jug if he really made your friend doc attack kev what's to say he didn't compel the people of sketch alley to up and leave the same way? I mean if he really can control peoples thoughts and actions-" Archie starts
"Yeah he needs to be stopped classic super hero narrative ok Betty Avery can we throw this guy I. Jail? Your the fbi" Jug asks
"Mmm I wish" I say
"Yeah but not if we can prove he's breaking any laws" Betty says
"Alright then Archie you are invulnerable let's beat this guy up break every bone in his body" jug says
"I can't do that jug I'd be just as bad as he is" Archie says
"Oh you mean how like when you caused the serpent war?" I ask him and roll my eyes
"That was different" Archie says
"How because your not the one cleaning it up? If Percival can really control minds the serpents will be disbanded and they are my family Archie" I say to him
"Ok back on topic we tried both of those things with hiram repeatedly there temporary solutions at best" Betty says
"Percival is going around recruiting people for whatever big play he's got what if we do the same thing we go to our friends the people we trust make sure that he's not turning them to his side" Archie says
"In the short term it will stop Percival from amassing to much power too quickly" Jughead says
"We'd be concerned citizens talking to our neighbors" Betty says
"Guys what if this is why we were given our powers?" Archie asks
"To protect the town from Percival" I say
"Ok relax professor Xavier. Who do we start with?" Jughead asks
While they went to see Cheryl I went to pops to see sweet pea. He was at the counter and I sat down with him and Alec.
"What's up?" I ask him and kiss sweet peas cheek
"Hey baby you hungry I can order you something" he says as I sit down
"Yes I'm starving" I say groaning just then we hear gun shots sweet pea grabs me and Alec and pulls us to the ground
After the shoot out we jumped up and ran outside to see a serpent hiding behind the gas pump
"What happened?" Sweet pea yelled at him
"Ghoulies!" He yelled catching his breath trying to stand up
"Damn it!" Sweets screams he was pissed off
"Alec take Avery home now don't stop anywhere get straight home and lock the doors" sweet pea yells
"Hell no! I'm not leaving you here I'm the fbi and a serpent asshole I'm staying" I growl
The next day I go to my dr appointment and find out I'm having a boy
I was over joyed I was supposed to go see my sister with jug arch and Betty but I got a call from Alice they called a emergency council meeting to remove Toni
I called tabby who was about to call Toni to tell her to come.
"Thank you for assembling we've all heard about the act of gang violence that happened at pops just last night and in response to that incident Percival Pickens would like to submit a motion" Alice says and Percival stands up
"My motion is for the immediate removal of Antoinette Topaz from the council of five how can riverdale feel safe with a known gang member shaping town policy" Percival says
"We've been doing it so far" I growl
"I think Toni can and should speak for herself" tabby says to Percival
"Thank you tabitha and Avery" Toni says Pickens sits and Toni stands up
"Mr Pickens I know your new here but I've spent my entire life in service to riverdale after high school I graduated with a degree in social work I then became guidance council at riverdale high I kept its doors open while hiram lodge fought to shut us down I then used my position as small business owner and proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community to help with various charities and organizations and if there's any doubt about my integrity just know that I'm raising my son here and I'm invested in riverdale because of him and I hope you let me continue to advocate for you and this town thank you" Toni says and sits down
"I'd love to point out I'm also a serpent so wether or not there will be one up here advocating for them and you all" I say
"Well let's put it to a vote and see what happens" Alice says
Toni ended up being voted off
"This is bullshit" sweet pea growls as we walk inside
"Can they do that?" Alec asks
"I'm afraid so this is all Percival I can feel it" I growl I was pissed as well
"I should go over to where ever Percival is at and beat him into the ground" sweet pea growls
"No!" I yell remembering Percivals threat
"Why not he deserves it" sweet pea growls
"Calm down hon I know he deserves it but he has the whole town backing him right now and he has the police and it will put more of a bad name on the serpents" I say and he sits down in a chair and sighs
"At least your still on the council" he says
I go over and kiss his lips "we'll get her back I promise" I say
Then I get a phone call from Toni "hello?" I say
"Avery Kevin and his dad just broke down my door looking for weapons found them and Kevin arrested fangs Percival was here as well" Toni says
"We're on our way" I say
Once we get to the jail I shiver thinking about when fangs got shot here last when we were younger.
"Fangs we're gonna get you out of here no matter what but I need to know where did the weapons come from?" Toni asks and fangs sighs and looks at sweet pea
I look at sweetpea and he avoids looking at me.
"They were mine" fangs says and Toni sighs
"Fangs why in our house with baby Anthony" Toni says
"They were ours" sweet pea jumps in
"I was the one storing them for a battle royale with the ghoulies you stopped talking to Twyla Twyst but she reached out to me and sweet pea challenging us to a rumble" fangs says
"I was talking to the other serpents they want to fight" sweet pea adds
"What the hell were you thinking sweet pea" I growl at him
"You know damn well this is gonna end up in a war" sweet pea says to me
"It wouldn't if you wouldn't push it with the bitch. You lied to me, and fangs you have a son I am so disappointed in you. You have a child in the way as well sweets and you still decided on the war" I say pissed
"I'm sorry Toni I'm sorry Avery" fangs says
At home I was pissed at sweet pea
"How could you do this and not tell me?" I ask him
"I didn't want you to worry" he says
"Sweetpea I'll ask once and only once is their illegal weapons in my house" I say
"No I didn't want you to lose your job neither did fangs that's why he took them I'm sorry I didn't tell you" he says and wraps his arms around me I sigh and lean up and kiss him
"It's ok just keep me in the loop next time please I'm a serpent as well" I say and he smiles at me and nods his head

Sorry it took so long getting this out and this isn't the full nine episode nine disappeared from the thing I was watching on sadly. I've been moving houses and got a job so I haven't had the chance to update but I wanted to get this out here so you guys aren't waiting forever I think I'll just skip the rest of nine though. Also are you interested in reading a prequel to this about Avery and Reggie? The first season? It will prob be short but I'm thinking of writing it when I catch up on these episodes.
