"So, why are you all in my car?" Sawyer looked at the three of my friends who were fighting over Cael's last piece of gum in the back.
"Marley" I shrugged. "The usual"
"Hey! Grace's brother! Do you have any gum?!" Marley crawled onto the center console and started poking my brother.
"Go away, Marley" he turned the air conditioning on and directed the vents onto her face. She sneezed and slithered back.
"Hey, Grace, is my F.G.F. hot?" Marley poked me through the gap between my seat's headrest and back.
"Marley, sweetie" Robyn sighed "no sane human would ever date you"
"I ain't fucking squirrels or that lump, if that's what you're implying" Marley waved at Cael. "Wait. Ha that's funny. Get it? Nuts" The brunette laughed at her own joke. "Technically there was that time I forced Grace to date me for a week"
"Hah. I remember that. You two were up giggling and making fake sex noises all night!" Sawyer chuckled.
"Sure they were fake" Marley laughed "and I was giggling because Grace was trying to look sexy"
"Why?" Cael smirked.
"Cause she said I couldn't" I defended myself. "And I was laughing because Marley put a bra on her head and said she was Princess Leia!" The whole car erupted with laughter. "And she was trying and failing at flirting with me. She would not stop the freaking petting!"
"And you wonder why you two are shipable?" Cael teased. Long story short Robyn thought we were perfect and tried setting us up. That was a complete and utter disaster. Now they've dialed it down to simply shipping us. No. Way. In. Hell.
"No. I just don't want miss Turn Off dating me" Marley huffed.
"You have no idea how glad I am to hear that you have no sexual fantasies involving my baby sister" Sawyer exclaimed "and I don't want to be lawfully related to anyone who makes jokes about my guys"
"If y'all can have free rein in the men's locker room, I can make fun of you for being the only girls in the room. If you can tell me girls are a girly, I can tell you to man up and grow a pair when I kick your asses at video games. And if you say anything about me being flat, I can tell you to suck my metaphorical dick. If you tell me I'm a wuss, I can say I still got more balls than all your boys combined" Marley crossed her arms, looking pleased with herself.
"True 'dat" I chuckled.
"Preach" Cael added.
"You're still flat, Cael" Marley stuck her tongue it at him.
"I still got a girlfriend, Mar, so suck them apples" the two got into a hissy fight, but with Robyn between then there want much action.
The rest of the drive continued with similar conversation. When we finally arrived back at my house, there was a blue pick-up truck in our driveway, a girl inside, and another lounging on the small roof of the vehicle.
Marley was the first to exit the car. Instead of using the door she was sitting next to, she climbed over Cael and Robyn to get out their door. I ended up being outside first.
"About time" the girl on the roof hopped down. I noticed a dramatic change in her wardrobe. Now she had this cute but casual black crop-top and faded, ripped blue skinny jeans. Probably fake diamond stud earrings were set on her, glinting in the sunset.
Did I mention her shirt exposed her belly? Well it did. And she was definitely toned. I mean like six pack toned. But she still look almost harmless, since she didn't have a kind of built that looked artificial.
"Woah" someone gasped behind me. Surprisingly it wasn't Marley. It was Cael and Robbie.
"Micha" she made an overzealous bow, a smirk playing on her lips. There was always something unsettling about that smirk, it felt kinda like there was something wrong with her. You know, intuition.
"Grace! Where is the-" Marley put her arm up on my shoulder before looking at Micha. "Uhhhh...." Marley is a wonder with words, right?
"Marley" Micha flicked her head, tossing her short black hair back to uncover the second of her stormy eyes. "Hm. I expected you to be more talkative" Marley was still gawking at the girl, so I elbowed her stomach.
"Right! Yeah! I'm Marley" she stated.
"Figured. Anyway, this is Kayla, my older sister. My youngest sister is in some insane asylum, so she can't be here. Pity" Micha chuckled sarcastically, gesturing to her clone that had just exited the car. "You wanna go inside at any point? Not that I don't love the cold air and freezing wind, but I don't" I smiled and led them inside.
"You're Hazel's girlfriend, right?" Kayla started while I was walking up the steps to my door.
"No. No. No. No. No. No. No, no, no" I think I made my point.
"According to my sources -namely the tangents I heard Hazel going on- I caught some interesting gossip bout you two" Micha winked at me "did you two actually get it on?"
"Micha! You don't just ask people if-" Kayla chided.
"Yeah I do" Micha snickered. "So did you?! If you did, give me details! I have got to know what Hazel is like when she isn't being a biatch"
"Why do people think we had sex?!" I looked at Marley, who, strangely, was almost hiding behind me.
"Cael?" She shrugged with her best look of innocence.
"I am not responsible for any rumors Marley caused!" He called from the couch where he and Robyn were watching some cooking show I liked.
"Dammit. She is almost fourteen and the last thing I want is another sexually frustrated bitch stinking up the N.S." Micha rolled her eyes.
"Anyone else noticing the increased number of sexual references today?" I lifted an eyebrow in Marley's direction.
"It's cause Hazel was sitting on you earlier. The pic has been posted on every social media outlet our grade has" Cael chimed in "I know because someone mentioned me in the comments" he added before his girlfriend could attack.
"Hey, Michs, You have to meet up with Trevor and Lane soon. I promised Lane I'd be on time, we should get going" Kayla checked her phone.
"Damn. Well, Grace, I am thoroughly disappointed at the lack of attention I've received. I'll text you. See ya" she left just like that. Kayla bid her goodbyes and left promptly. As soon as I locked the door, I turned to Marley.
"What is up with you?" Marley never says less than thirty words a minute.
"I-uhm... Your friend is really pretty" oh my god, she was blushing. Marley. Blushing.
"Aww!" I squealed. "My Mar has a crush!"
"No..." how cute, she was blushing even more.
