Atsumu practiced his serves by himself, before anyone else was supposed to show up for practice. He thought about (M/N).
Atsumu was best friends with (M/N), a male he just couldn't get out of his head. He wondered why his heart was always beating rapidly, why his face and ears would flush red from the male's laugh, smile or voice.
He soon realized why, he likes the male. He wanted the male.
He fell for the male hard, and he wanted everything about him. The attitude-that many people couldn't handle- his sarcasm, his humor, his hugs, his warmth, his clothes, he wanted him.
He denied his feelings for the longest time, not believing that he could like the same gender. Or rather, he thought, (M/N) wasn't into the same gender.
Atsumu dreamily thought about his best friend, a small smile made its way to his face. But that wasn't the only thing that made its way to his face.
A volleyball hit him smack dab in the middle. He snapped out of his thoughts.
He turned and glared at whoever hit him, only to see it was his best friend smirking cheekily at his face.
"Good, now you can pay attention to me." He laughed.
Atsumu blushed, he liked to think because he was embarrassed for spacing out.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Atsumu scoffed looking away.
(M/N) ruffled his hair, "Oh come on, I've been speaking for the last ten minutes, and you haven't stopped looking... blankly at the bleachers." He teased.
"What? Well why didn't you say anything! You should've hit me with a volleyball sooner, stupid!"
"Idiot! I was saying things!" (M/N) smacked Atsumu's head.
Atsumu whined, "There was no need to hit me." He pouted.
"Aw poor baby." (M/N) mimicked his pout, "Do you need a hug?"
Atsumu brightened at that, dismissing being called a baby, "Of course I do." He stuck his hands out, wanting attention.
(M/N) rolled his eyes but hugged him anyways, Atsumu rubbed his head against (M/N)'s chest.
"Sheesh, you really are a baby." (M/N) laughed.
"Shut yer trap!" Atsumu responded.
"(M/N), I need to talk to you." A voice said.
The both snapped their gazes to see Suna with a lazy look. (M/N) nodded and let go of Atsumu.
"Coming Rin." (M/N) responded waving to Atsumu.
Atsumu watched as the male left, a frown made its way to his face. Suna and (M/N) went to the far side of the gym, talking amongst themselves.
"Rin?" He mumbled, "Why does (M/N) call him by his first name?" Well nickname.
Osamu stood next his brother, watching as Atsumu's eyes never left the two separate males.
"Are you jealous?" Osamu said out of the blue.
Atsumu jumped and looked at his brother, "Shut it 'Samu! I'm not jealous." He crossed his arms.
Osamu looked at him, his blank expression gave away how annoyed he was now.
"You are." He pointed out, "You haven't stopped looking at them. It's creepy 'Tsumu."
Atsumu finally looked at his brother with wide eyes, "Do you think he knows?" He panicked.
"Knows that you like him."
"Sh! Not so loud, what if he hears you!"
"Highly doubt it. He must be talking about something serious if Suna is involved."
"What why? Are they together? Does Suna like (M/N)?"
"Calm down Suna is his-"
"Boyfriend, right?" Atsumu sulked, not letting his brother finish, "I knew it." He looked down.
"I wasn't-"
"It's okay. He's better anyways." Atsumu cut him off again, he went to locker rooms, "I have to go to the bathroom." He mumbled still looking down.
Osamu watched as his brother walked to the locker rooms, he sighed.
"Fucking idiot. If he let me finish he wouldn't be sulking." Osamu looked back at Suna and (M/N), he began walking to them.
Catching both of the male's attention. Osamu went and threw his arm around Suna's shoulders.
"You should go talk to Atsumu." Osamu said.
(M/N) looked at him confused, "Did something happen?"
Osamu nodded, "Damn idiot thought you two were dating and now he's sad."
"Did you tell him we weren't?"
"Tried to. I even tried saying that I was dating Suna, multiple times."
"Hey wait, why would he care?" (M/N) tilted his head.
"For someone smart, you sure are dumb." Suna implied.
"No one asked for your opinion Rin!" (M/N) scoffed.
They all quietly laughed, "He was upset because he likes you."
"Oh that's cool." (M/N) said, but then he stopped, "Wait what?!"
They both looked at him with a 'are you serious' look.
"He's in the locker room." Osamu said.
(M/N) wasted no time, he ran to the locker room. He went to the door and heard slight sniffles. A frown creased his lips. He went to open the door, but it was locked.
The sniffles immediately went silent, like Atsumu was trying to hide what he was feeling. (M/N) shook his head.
He knocked quietly, "Atsumu, it's (M/N). Let me in." He waited a bit, nothing, "Tsumu, come on." He knocked again.
He heard a slight click and Atsumu peaked his head out, rubbing his eyes and nose.
"Oh hey (M/N)."
(M/N) walked in and closed the door, he cupped his face, wiping his tears.
"What's wrong?" He played dumb, wanting to hear Atsumu say it.
"It's nothing."
"Atsumu, it's not if you're crying."
"I just have dust in my-"
"Tell me." He said seriously.
"I like this guy... but I don't think he likes me. Pretty sure he's dating Suna."
"You like your brother? That's kinda gross, but you do you I guess." (M/N) shrugged, hiding his usual teasing tone.
Atsumu looked at him wide-eyed, "I don't like him! But he likes Suna?"
"He's dating Suna."
"Huh? But I for sure thought the guy I like liked Suna."
"Who?"
"No one."
(M/N) furrowed his eyebrows, "Who and I won't ask again." His hands gripped Atsumu's waist.
Atsumu's face flushed red, he likes this side of (M/N).
"You..." He mumbled and looked away.
(M/N) smiled, "And you thought I had a crush on my cousin."
Atsumu looked at (M/N), "You and Suna are related?!"
(M/N) nodded his head, "Yeah. That would be gross if I liked my cousin. Anyways I like someone else."
"Who?" Atsumu immediately asked, gripping (M/N)'s shirt.
(M/N) laughed, "I like you, idiot."
Atsumu's eyes sparkled, "Really?"
"Mhm."
Atsumu jumped into his arms, (M/N) immediately held him up, his back hitting the locker room door.
"Sheesh, you're like an overgrown baby." (M/N) laughed.
Atsumu said nothing, he just relaxed his head into (M/N)'s crook. Smiling to himself.
(M/N) kissed his temple.
"Can I be yours now?" Atsumu removed his face to look into (E/C) eyes.
(M/N) looked at Atsumu, "God you're so stupid. You've always been mine."
Atsumu smiled, he was all giddy hearing those words. (M/N) put him down and Atsumu stayed in his arms. He looked up and puckered his lips.
"I want a kiss."
(M/N) laughed and began leaning down. Atsumu, leaned up, wanting this very much.
(M/N)'s lips finally touched Atsumu's. Atsumu smiled into the kiss, (M/N)'s hands gripped tighter into Atsumu's waist and pulled him closer.
The released and smiled, "Still can't believe you thought I liked me cousin." (M/N) said.
"You ruined the moment." Atsumu said.
They both laughed, (M/N) opened the door, Osamu and Suna both fell forward.
They looked at (M/N) and Atsumu.
"We definitely weren't ease dropping." Osamu said.
Suna hit him, "Shut it stupid, they already know we were."
"Only because you told them." Osamu said.
(M/N) grabbed Atsumu's hand and tugged him out of the locker room. Ignoring the two.
He smiled at Atsumu, "I really like you Atsumu."
"I really like you too."
