Something dangerous had been looming in the shadows, one that Yuuei was confident would never occur. They wanted to prove that by holding the sports festival, they were a proper hero school and were responsible enough to pick themselves back up after the fall of a villain attack. What they hadn't anticipated was for villains to not attack the sports festival directly, but through infiltration from the inside.

——————♡——————

Aizawa took out a box cutter and slid it across the cardboard box, the tape easily becoming undone. Opening it up, a mask exact to the design he had submitted in a form sat still with foam balls protecting it. He picked it up and inspected it, making sure there were no faulty details. He made sure the adjustable straps were working and that the mask wasn't flimsy enough to break, which when he was done he was quite satisfied with.

(Y/N) walked into the kitchen where she saw Aizawa smiling creepily down at something while turning it in different angles. She raised an eyebrow but decided to leave him be and not judge his weird hobbies as she walked over to the fridge and prepared a snack.

Aizawa, hearing the girl immediately because of the plastic she was handling while making her snack, turned to look in her direction. He looked down at the mask before walking over, his apathetic expression immediately returning.

"(Y/N), look up at me." He said in a gruff tone that made her think she was in trouble at first. She briefly thought over what she could have done wrong— the list very long— but nothing Aizawa should have been able to find out about.

She put down the leftover food she was going to eat as a snack and cautiously turned to Aizawa's direction with furrowed eyebrows. When she looked over at him, Aizawa immediately put the mask against her face and adjusted the straps.

(Y/N) had no clue what was shoved onto her face, but she immediately deduced it was the mask from the shape and the newly manufactured smell it omitted.

Aizawa took a step back and observed how it looked, a small smile slipping onto his face when he noticed it actually fit her quite well.

"Can you see out of it?" He asked the girl who just stood completely still. She looked up at him through the mask and nodded her head.

"...Yeah, but it's a bit heavy and it's making me sleepy." She complained while letting out a yawn after as if to prove her point. Aizawa sweat dropped as he told her it probably wasn't the masks doing.

"Well then, [ F/F/N ] [ F/L/N ]. Go get ready and don't forget to bring the mask." Aizawa said, addressing her by the fake name she would be using for the sports festival that would soon start.

As always, (Y/N) was fairly early to arrive since she often walked to school with Aizawa. She was told to immediately go to the waiting room with the assigned class she belonged in, and upon entering, she didn't expect to see anyone else but was pleasantly surprised.

"Oh, good morning (Y/N)! Are you excited for the sports festival today?" Momo asked politely as she clasped her hands together, sitting right across from the class representative.

(Y/N) closed the door behind her before walking to sit with them, hiding an unflattering yawn behind her hand.

"Not really, I would have preferred to sleep in." She shrugged as she sat down right beside Momo and across from Iida, placing her bag onto the table.

Iida pushed up his glasses as he did small chops in the air, a vast amount of energy radiating off him as if he were prepared for the festival to start any minute, although there was quite a lot of time until then.

"As a student representing U.A., you should put your full effort into the festival! It wouldn't be wise to succumb to sleep while fighting an opponent."

(Y/N) simply ignored Iida's lecture as she asked Momo for a favor, Momo agreeing without any hesitance. (Y/N) had wanted to style her hair a bit differently than what she usually wears, one that would convenience her with the mask, and Momo was delighted to help her pick a style.

Students began to trickle in one by one, saying their good mornings and good lucks. By now, Momo had finished styling (Y/N)'s hair, to which she was very thankful for, and was adjusting her mask.

Just as she put it on, Mineta walked into the room and screeched in horror. Everyone's attention immediately went over to him, some in annoyance others in curiosity, as he lifted a shaky finger in (Y/N)'s direction.

"Mineta? Is something wrong?" Kaminari asked curiously from the table he sat at.

"V...V...V....VILLAIN!?!?!?" He screeched while pointing over in (Y/N)'s direction since she had the mask on and wore a different hair style.

(Y/N) bit her lip harshly, holding back from either letting out a mocking laugh or punting the short boy into oblivion.

Everyone looked over to where Iida, Momo, and (Y/N) were sitting, some now noticing (Y/N)'s suspicious appearance as well.

Momo let out a small snort before looking the other way when (Y/N) looked in her direction.

"Pff. Idiots." (Y/N) mocked as she moved the mask away from her face, a ghost of a smile being shown.

"Uwahh?! (Y/N)? Why are you wearing that?" Mina exclaimed as she quickly sat up from her seat and bounded over in (Y/N)'s direction. (Y/N) had always sat with Mina's group, but she also enjoyed Iida's and Momo's presence, so she decided to stick with them.

"...I was told I should wear a disguise, though it's not being forced upon me. Mister Nezu recommended it according to Aizawa. Also, I will be going by [ F/F/N ] [ F/L/N ], so call me that for now." She answered out loud, some people agreeing with his decision and everyone acknowledging to call her by the temporary name.

"Ah, well that would make sense. The goal of the sports festival is for students to show off to get the attention of pro heroes, the point would be destroyed if the attention focused on only one student." Ochako pointed out.

Meanwhile someone outside of the room eavesdropped and mentally noted some information down, their sinister plans starting to come into fruition.

The time was nearing, and everyone was anxious on what challenges they would have to face.

The place had already been crowded with viewers and they all could hear the obnoxious chatter all the way from the room class 1-A resided in. Once everyone in the class had finally arrived, those who weren't already doing so quickly settled down and sat with their closer friends to form groups. The time for the festival to start was quickly approaching.

Everyone in the room sat in silence, many trying to steel their nerves. Their focus was immediately broken though, and their attention shifted over to Todoroki since he was daring enough to break the silence in the room.

"Midoriya." He said as he calmly walked up to the green haired boy. Midoriya turned around at the sound of Todoroki's voice and faced him to hear what he had to say.

"Todoroki? What is it?"

"Looking at things objectively, I think I'm stronger than you."

Upon figuring it was just a small declaration of war, (Y/N) rested her head back on the table as she waited for the inevitable time she would have to participate in the sports festival. She had blocked their conversation out as she mentally prepared herself, the mask sitting next to her on the table since she needed to get a breath of fresh air.

"And you."

Todoroki turned to (Y/N)'s direction, she immediately feeling his narrowed eyes burning holes into her resting head. The class's attention shifted from Midoriya and Todoroki to Todoroki and (Y/N).

He clicked his tongue seeing her not even bother to lift her head to look up at him, but he continued to talk.

"Never mind, it seems you won't be worth my time." After saying that, Todoroki turned around with the intention to walk away.

'Woah woah woah...'

(Y/N) lifted her head up sluggishly, leaning her cheek into the palm of her hand. She narrowed her eyes giving Todoroki a frightening glare, her ego definitely taking a large hit from his words.

"...That should be my line. Don't even bother, you could never hope to defeat me. A declaration of war? Don't make me laugh, it would be more like a one-sided massacre on your end." She spat with an arrogant scoff which made Todoroki's eyes widen and turn back to look at her, not expecting her to retaliate but fully prepared to argue back.

"Alright alright!" Kirishima exclaimed as he stood up from his seat and put a hand atop Todoroki's shoulder, a large awkward smile settling on his face.

"Why are you picking fights right when we are about to start?"

Todoroki merely walked a few feet away after shrugging Kirishima's hand off from atop his shoulder.

"We're not here to make friends, so what does it matter?" He walked towards where the class would enter, and of course he wasn't the one that had gotten the last word in.

"Todoroki, I don't know what you're thinking when you say you'll beat me, but of course you're better than me. I think you're more capable than most people—

"Key word, Most." (Y/N) added before Midoriya continued.

Midoriya gave his speech on how everyone in the other classes were going to be giving it their all, so he would as well. A tense silence no one dared to break followed the declarations as everyone got ready to make their entrance.

No one voiced it out loud, but everyone was taking Midoriya's words to heart. Once they walked out, they would temporarily no longer be allies and fight to win.

Hell, even (Y/N) seemed serious. Maybe because she felt underestimated or her competitive side was unraveling for the rest to see, but she was determined to get as far as possible-- or rather she had no doubt she would win by a landslide. Her power may have been weak against the Nomu, but in the end it's because it wasn't necessarily human. She had confidence when going against other humans though— all quirks, stands, or any mysterious powers considered.

She looked at her classmates, and surprisingly Bakugo was looking at her as well. He looked incredibly irritated but gave a subtle look of something else, whether it be determination or challenge towards (Y/N). He looked away not long after and (Y/N) adjusted the mask onto her face, tightening the straps so as it won't fall off.

Everyone listened intently as the loudspeakers came on thanking everyone for coming, and soon began to move at their signal to walk out.

"It's time for the students to enter the first-year stage!"
