A taller male walked to his twin brothers room, barging right in. Yaku looked up from his studies, not saying a word.
"Did you eat my (F/F)?" (M/N) asked crossing his arms.
"Why would I want that?" Yaku asked taking a bite of something.
(M/N) glared, "It's right there in your hands!" He said, "Never mind the food, Mori. Do you and your friends want to come my state championship game?"
Yaku shrugged, "What position do you play?"
"I've told you before... guess you'll have to find out, I can get you guys some front row tickets."
"Sure."
(M/N) nodded and left, grumbling, he went back. Yaku raised an eyebrow at him, (M/N) only walked closer and took the last bit of his food, shoving it in his mouth and leaving. Yaku just smirked.
A week later, Yaku, Kuroo, Lev, Kenma, Inouka and Fukunaga were the only ones able to go. Which satisfied the taller twin.
"So why are we here?" Kuroo asked.
"To support my twin brother." Yaku said, looking out into the field watching them warm up.
"You have twin? But no one is short on the baseball team!" Lev said.
Yaku's eyebrows twitched, but he promised (M/N) that he wouldn't cause a scene, so he let it be. He just ignored the overly tall first year.
"If he's your twin, how come we haven't seen him at Nekoma?" Kuroo asked.
"He's virtual because he plays with a professional baseball team." Kenma said, not looking up from his game. Everyone looked at him weirdly, "I've meet him before." Kenma mumbled.
Before anyone replied the game began, with (M/N)'s team pitching first. The umpire gave the pitcher a go, for the first throw.
The pitcher took a deep breath and smirked, he brought the baseball out of his glove for a split second and then he wound up his stance, throwing the ball as fast as he could.
The ump called a strike.
"Amazing!" The announcer said, "The first pitch of the game was an incredible strike! With the ball going 107mph!"
Yaku's eyes widened, he new they were good from his brother's rants, but this was way different than what he thought.
Yaku looked at the pitcher, his eyes widening more, he made eye contact with familiar eyes. That was the only thing that was the same between the twins, their eyes.
(M/N) was the pitcher.
"Hey! Give them a chance captain!" Their first baseman teased, causing the crowd to laugh.
(M/N) chuckled, "Fine fine. I'll go slower." He got ready to pitch, he wound up again, everyone thought he was going to throw another fast one, but when he released, it looked like it wasn't fast at all. In fact he went half the speed he originally threw it. Causing the batter to swing too soon, another strike. "There's no way I'm giving them a chance. I came here to win." (M/N) said, his eyes glazed over with the thought of winning and determination.
Yaku looked at his friends, they were surprised, "Who's the pitcher?" Lev asked.
Kenma gave a perplexed expression but went back to his game, Yaku just blinked. "That's my brother." He said.
"That's your brother?!" Kuroo said, "We can barely see what he looks like!"
"Chill, he'll hit soon."
But even then, they could never see his face fully, everyone, minus Kenma and Yaku, wanted to see the twin's face.
It was the last inning, (M/N)'s team ahead by a few runs. It was 12-9.
(M/N) was pitching, they had one out on the board. They needed two more to win, but the batter hit a home-run, making them tied.
(M/N) glared, he threw the ball about the same speed as his first one, but this batter hit it, his team began freaking out and made errors.
"Give me the damn ball!" (M/N) shouted.
So they threw it at him, once he was in the pitchers circle, the player couldn't move, but he ended up on third base. It left a bitter taste in the pitcher's mouth.
He took a deep breath and got in his wound up stance, throwing the ball. The batter immediately swung, a line drive straight for (M/N)'s face.
Yaku began to panic, thinking the worst, but his twin surprised him. (M/N) was able to catch it, thanks to his reflexes, the ball sound echoed before (M/N) immediately turned his body without a second thought and threw it to third base.
Ty, the third baseman, immediately caught it, stepping on the bag and then tagging him out with his glove. That was the third out, (M/N) said nothing. He was slightly irritated that it took them that long to get the third out.
But the crowd was surprised at how fast he moved, Yaku and his friends especially.
(M/N) was the fourth up to bat. All the bases were loaded, (M/N) walked to home plate.
He took his helmet off to adjust it, he shook his head running his fingers through his messy, sweaty (H/C) hair. He finally looked at the crowd, his famous smirk on his face. Feeling better that he could win with his teammates on base.
Kuroo's mouth dropped, Lev was shocked, Inouka couldn't care less but had a big smile and Fukunaga's eyes got wider than they already were.
"He looks nothing like you!" Kuroo pointed out.
"I never said we were identical." Yaku said bored, "Now shut up." He glared.
Kuroo could no longer take his eyes off the taller twin, he was mesmerized.
"(M/N) Yaku is up to bat! This whole game he hasn't been giving his all, in fact, it was like he was toying with them, maybe he'll surprise us!"
He rotated his shoulder, popping it before stepping into the box, moving the dirt a bit with his cleats, before getting in his batter stance. He had a plan.
The first pitch almost hit him, but he jumped out of the way. He would've took the ball to get a free base, but where's the fun in that? All bases were loaded, he wanted to hit a home run.
"Hey Yaku!" Yaku looked but sweat dropped when he realized it was the person on third, talking to his brother, "Why don't you adjust your gloves!"
Adjust his batting gloves? Yaku and the volleyball team thought, confusedly.
"Adjust the gloves!" The crowd kept chanting.
Why are they chanting?
(M/N) looked to his teammate, then to the crowd. He put his bat under his arm and adjusted his gloves, complying to the crowds wishes. His smirk widening. It was like a secret request and his secret way of showing he was going to hit the crap out of the ball.
He walked back into the box, getting in a bunting stance, squatting low.
"Bunting?!? Doesn't he know if he bunts the catcher can just grab it and get the third baseman out at home and they could lose?" The announcer frantically said.
The pitcher smirked, thinking (M/N) was dumb. Once the ball was pulling out of his glove, (M/N) stood up and pulled his bat back. The ball released from the pitcher, everyone's eyes stood shocked, he wasn't going to bunt.
(M/N) pulled back and then forward, hitting the ball as hard as he could, the metal sound of his bat reached everyone's ears... and suddenly...
The ball was no longer on the field, but over the fence.
A grand slam. Everyone ran to home plate, excited that they won the state championship, even though they already knew they would.
(M/N) was the last to jump on home plate, after all he wanted to take his sweet time running to it, because he was cocky.
"Baseball's pretty interesting." Kuroo mumbled, looking at (M/N).
"Are you sure it's not because of Yaku's twin?"
Yaku immediately looked at Kuroo, "Don't get any ideas." He growled.
Kuroo smirked.
After the game, they waited till (M/N) walked out talking to his catcher. Holding the state championship trophy. (M/N) noticed them and waved goodbye before walking to them.
"So?" (M/N) asked.
"So?! How come you've never invited me to watch?! I didn't know you where that good!" Yaku kept ranting and (M/N) chuckled.
He looked at his friends and his eyes landed on Kuroo, "You going to introduce me to your friends, Mori?" (M/N) glanced at his shorter twin.
"Yeah, whatever." He grabbed his sleeve and shoved him forward, "That's Inouka, Lev, Fukunaga and then Kuroo. But don't get any ideas with Kuroo." Yaku said seriously.
(M/N) looked at him blankly before smirking, "Too late. He's cute." He turned to Kuroo, "We should make ou-" Yaku kicked (M/N)'s shin, causing him to cuss and hold his shin. "That fucking hurt." He mumbled, "But I mean hang out, because that would be weird." (M/N) glared.
"Yeah we should ban-" Kuroo dodged Yaku's monster kick, "I mean hang."
(M/N) smirked, and Kuroo's face went slightly red but he smirked as well.
