Lilly's POV
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! "Dam, alarm clock." I grumbled as I reached out with my hand to turn it off. I was just about to snooze some more before getting up when I heard my mom calling me "Lilly, come down for breakfast!" I groaned "Young lady its your first day of school and I don't want you to be late." I sat up "Coming mom." I said before heading towards my bathroom for a shower. I was so not looking forward to highschool heck I was fifteen and under any normal circumstance id be thrilled for this new adventure but no I wasn't thrilled at all.
Ever since I was little the other werechildren would pick on me or on the good days they would just completely avoid and I never understood why. My parents loved me and the alpha was nice to me but that was it. Almost every other pack member ignored me unless completely necessary and I somtimes got the feeling that the luna hated me for some reason. As I grew up the other children got more vicious with there insults and abuse but I never told my parents. I didn't want to give them the satisfaction of knowing id run back to mommy side.
I never got invited anywhere I was ok with that pack functions wherent really my thing anyway. What I really hated was when they'd jump me and id come home with some bs excuse to my about how I fell and that's why I had bruises all over. "Lilly come on!" I heard my mom yelling at me again and I shook my head bringing myself back to reality. I got out from under the mist of warm water and pulled some random outfit out from my closet to wear. I pulled my hair into a ponytail and put on my tennis shoes.
I grabbed my backpack and rushed downstairs for a quick bite to eat before the bus got there to take me to teenage hell. "Morning mom." I said as I took a seat by the table. I gulped down several pieces of bacon, egg, toast and my oranger juice causing my mom to just stare at me with wide eyes. "Slow down lilly there's still plenty of food." My mom said but I shook my head. "Nah mom bus is gonna be here any minute and I don't wanna miss it." I said and my she nodded in agreement "ok but carefull"
She meant well but it still didn't help the feeling of doom that I felt as my school day approached me like a lion does a gazelle. I finished in two minutes and rushed out the door to the bus. "Bye mom" I said hugging her just as the bus rounded the corner to my house. My mom waived me off and I got on the bus taking me to teenage hell. "Oh look its dough girl. What you eat today? Three years supply of food or what?" A girl said and I ignored her as I headed to the back of the bus. I looked straight ahead of me and didn't notice when a kid stuck out his foot.
I tripped on him and landed facefirst on the rubbery floor while everyone laughed at my expense. I blushed furiously and got up rushing to find a seat. "Hey you can sit with me if ya want." I heard someone say and I turned to see a very chipper girl patting the seat besides her. I raised my eyebrow suspicious of her but I finally sat down besides her without saying a word until we got to school. "So hey my names liz what's yours?" She asked me her voice bubbly.
"I'm lilly." I answered her just as we got to school.Everybody started getting down and so did I until once again someone stuck out there foot to trip me.This time though I landed smack dab onto the cold concrete floor of the school.My cheeks flamed up as I got up and noticed everyone laughing at me. "What's the problem lardo, don't like the floor?"I heard some say"leave her alone jerks."Liz said taking my hand and leading me inside the school building.
It was the first day of school and already the torture had begun."Don't mind them lilly they don't know what there talking about. There heads are completely filled with air and bubblegum."She said giggling and strangely it made me feel safe. We walked to the bathroom were liz helped me clean up before walking to class.Everything was quiet until I walked into the room and got peppered by spit balls making my cheeks flame up in embarassement when the teacher walked into class.
*oh god*I thought as the amazingly hot teacher stared at me.In his eyes I saw his surprise and a bit of confusion before he walked behind his desk.I walked to my seat and the class started all while the teacher bore his eyes into me.*what is up with him?*I thought but nothing came to mind. The class finished uneventfully but even as I walked out the door I couldn't help but shiver at the thought of my teachers eyes on me. Classes procceded as normal for me.
Every class I went to people picked on me calling me names like 'fatso' 'porker' 'waste' and the like. Every single class was torture even lunch was a nightmare. I got my food and was just about to sit down next to liz when somebody tripped me and sent my food flying. This of course pissed some people off and I immediatly got covered from head to toe in cafeteria food while all those who watched just laughed exept liz.
Liz picked me up from the floor and took me to the bathroom to clean myself up some. "Wanna go home?" She asked me but I shook my head. "No, but I really gotta change." I heard myself saying"stay here ima get you something." She said and I stayed there mostly cuz I didn't wanna crack under there pressure. Five minutes later liz came back with some jeans and a sweater."that's all they had, sorry." She said handing me the outfit. "Don't worry its fine, really." I said as her eyes threatened to overspill with tears.
I hugged her "thanx liz." I said to her and we walked out back to class. By the end of the day I was exhausted and couldn't wait to just go home but of course even that wasn't easy. I was on my way out when some pack sluts cornered me and began beating me up until they heard someone coming. They ran leaving me on the floor curled up into a ball. "Miss riverdale?" I heard a soothing voice calling me. I felt a hand on my shoulder and flinched expecting some more pain but none came. Instead the hand stayed there causing me to look up into the eyes of my teacher.
He pulled back and I stood up carefully so that I wouldn't end up falling to the floor. It didn't work though cuz I slipped but the teacher caught me in his arms. He looked straight into my eyes and I layed still in his arms until we heard a slight cough. He straightened me up and I looked towards the voice "liz?" I asked and she nodded walking toward me. "I noticed you didn't get on the bus and the slut squad was practiclly bragging about it to everyone so I came to get ya." She said before turning to look at our english teacher Mr. Evans Sinclair.
He looked back at us before walking away without a word. "Huh? Well anyways I'm gonna call my dad to pick us up." She said taking our her phone. "No don't ill walk." I heard myself saying while walking away from her. "Wait up!" She called out to me and I stopped at the door. "Ill walk with ya"she said and we stepped outside. "So, Ok I'm liz but of course you know that..."she said giggling in what I thought was nerves.
"My mom just moved here with me. Are you a wolf?" She asked me and I stopped causing her to bump into me. "Ouch." She said "I don't know what your talking about liz." I said and she looked at me. "Really? Cuz I am well only half a wolf since my mom is a wolf but my dad was human." She said as I started walking again "so are you?" She kept nagging me until we reached my house where my parents were pacing the floor.
"See you tomorrow liz." I said as I walked into my house and liz walked away to the house down the street from mine. *so she's the new neighbor* I thought. "Young lady why weren't you on the bus?" "Do you know what could've happened to you?" My parents kept telling me but I spaced out.
VISION
A silver wolf was in the middle of a clearing snout in the air howling in pain. She had no physical injuries but somehow I just knew she was heart broken. A twig snaps but she just bows down to the strong presence of an unknown alpha wolf instead of standing up to fight. She just didn't have the energy. His eyes where a lively golden color, his hair was jet black, he stood strong and somehow he made me feel better.
VISION OVER
I sighed suddenly making my parents stare at me confused. I shook my head trying to clear my thoughts. "Lilly, sweety are you ok?" My mom asked and I just looked at her. " I don't know..." I whispered an saw as my parents looked at each other. *there hiding something* I thought. I don't know what or how I know but there is definitely something there not telling me and they should.
"Go to your room sweety and don't do that again." My mom said "We'll call you down for dinner." My dad said as he grabbed my mom and they walked into the kitchen out of my sight whispering. *what the hell happened? Who was that guy and why was I there?*I shrugged my shoulders and walked into the bathroom. I stared at myself in the mirror before washing my hands and plopping myself on the bed.
"Lilly come down dinner is ready."My moms voice came out thru the intercom and I opened my eyes *when did I fall asleep?* I thought yawning. I jumped up rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. I made my way down stairs and into the kitchen where my parent waited for me. "Um is something wrong?" I asked them after noticing that they were staring at me.
"Nothing sweety I made your favorite roast beef and gravy with mash patatoes." My mom said smiling at me. I looked at them skeptical before digging into my food. I finished pretty quickly and ran upstairs. "It was delicious mom." I said from the top of the stairs before closing the door to my room. I took a bath and put on my pj's before getting back in bed. I turned my pillow speaker on and instantly the voice of Epica flowed thru. I closed my eyes and fell asleep still thinking of that strange scene id somehow witness wondering who the guy was. I yawned "Hope tomorrows a better day"
As the year progressed nothing changed but all was not lost. Liz became my best friend while everyone else teased, bullied and insulted me sometimes even going far enough to hit me but like always I shrugged them off. I learned when I was little that it infuriated them more when I didn't react to there various kinds of bullying so I didn't react at all. Honestly I just didn't really my wounds healed quite rapidly so my parents never saw me bruised or cut and I didn't tell them. They would've taken action against them but they weren't worth the trouble.
The only one that knew was liz and that hot english teacher who kept looking at me as if I was his. His eyes showed possession, love and confusion id only recently noticed that was the look of a mate because id noticed that same glint in his eye that my dad gave my mom. I was left lost and confused everytime I saw him but I didn't know why.
It was finally spring break and practiclly everyone started heading to the beach to catch some sun. Liz had gotten invited to go with one of the popular guys and she had accepted. He had a car, popular and she liked him me on the other hand would be staying home with my parents. Liz had the body for a bikiny but I didn't I wasn't obese but I did have quite a bit of extra weight on my shoulders. Didn't matter to me cuz I was used to not being part of the group and overtime had decided that I didn't care.
"Bye lilly, jordan is picking me up soon and we'll head to the beach with everyone else are you sure you don't wanna come?" She asked me and I nodded. "I'm not one to party or socialize liz but you go ahead and enjoy yourself." She hugged me and went to her house to wait for jordan to pick her up. I sat on my doorstep looking down the street when jordans car came into view. Liz was jumping with joy as they drove away leaving me there alone with just my thoughts.
I went inside and got a snack when suddenly I fell to my knees with a piercing sharp pain in my back. I could barely move and I knew nobody was home since both my parents where at a meeting with the alpha. I scrambled to the phone and speed dialed the first number that came to mind, The Alpha. It rang once before he picked up "Alpha sam here I'm in a meeting call..." I screamed feeling an electric current coursing thru my entire body.
I gasped "Please help me..." I whispered afraid he hadn't heard me "Lilly? What's wrong?" He asked me and my parents faint voice was heard in the background. "I don't know I..." I screamed again and dropped the phone cutting the call short. I was on fire and felt as if every bone in my body was breaking and suddenlly a thought popped into my mind *I'm turning* "imposibble!" I half yelled before passing out from the pain.
Alpha Sam's POV
Cellphone static was the only thing I heard as the call was dropped. "Alpha what is it?" My enforcer/guard riverdale asked me and I looked at them. "I don't know but she was in pain and..." I paused there eyes filled with worry. "I think she might be turning." I said finishing while they just looked at me shocked. "Impossible! Only alpha wolfs shift early and..." my enforcer began saying but his wife stopped him.
"It doesn't matter why but if she is turning then we got to help her." His wife said and we all headed out and towards there home. I was speeding several miles over the speed limit but it didn't matter. I had promised my mate her mother that id protect her and I would die honering my promise. Five minutes later we arrived only to find her passed out on the floor next to the phone a light silver pelt of fur all over her body.
I picked her up and brought her to her room with her parents right behind me. She opened her eyes and almost instantly began squirming as I placed her gently on the bed. Her parents sat besides her and I took her hand in mine. It was an alpha's duty to help all pups with there first shifting by taking some of there pain away until the change was complete. Lilly was a special case though and I couldn't help but try to make her change as easy and painless as possible.
"Sweety, its ok were here for you and its gonna be alright." Her mothers voice carried thru the room but it wasn't relaxing her at all. I touched my forhead to hers and she relaxed her screames became whimpers. I smiled "its lilly just let the change flow thru you and all will be over soon." I whispered in her ears and instantly I noticed a change. Her silver furr grew and her bones shifted until finally a beautiful silver wolf lay in front of us her violet and blue speckled eyes looked at everything at once before settling on me. "Its complete." I said smiling.
*Lilly, how do you feel?* I asked her thru the packs mindlink. After a few minutes she answered me. *I've felt better...Alpha* she said and I laughed before talking to her parent. "She's gonna be ok. Now all we gotta do is wait for her to get used to her shifting." I told her happy but worried parents. "Lilly shift back." I told her and slowly she shifted back and to our amazement her clothes were intact. *that's interesting* I thought since not many wolfs could shift with there clothing on not even I could do that.
Lilly's POV
I lay on my bed covered in sweat after going thru my first shift. After I got back to my normal self my parents and the alpha walked out whispering making me curious. I got up and followed them outside careful to not be seen. They went to my dads office and closed the door while I listened to them thru the door. "She shouldn't have shifted yet!" My dad said in a rushed voice. "Its not impossible..."my mom started saying but my dad interrupted her. "But only alphas change this early." He said and then the alpha spoke.
"She could be an alpha's child we don't know. Remember the story of Crimson?" He said "You mean the daughter from the europian pack?" My dad said "yes, alpha kriegers daughter she disappeared and nobody ever found her but five years ago they got information about her." The alpha said pausing "well do you remember the shadow pack?" He asked "the shadow pack desappeared entirely a few years ago with only a few survivors." My dad said "Alpha krieger asked permission from the packs surrounding the shadow pack to attack them and we all granted them permission. His pack killed every single person involved in the kidnapping of there daughter." He said.
There was silence then he continued. "The shadow pack had kidnapped crimson without knowing who she was and kept her prisoner for years before she escaped." He said "wait your not trying to say that the dying girl we found 15 and a half years ago was the alpha's missing daughter, Crimson." He said "she mightve been which means Lilly is an alphas child. Since the shadow pack alpha had repeatedly raped..." he didn't finish I gasped *they know I'm here* I thought and I rushed back up to my room.
My thoughts were scrambled and I didn't know what to think. My life was a lie. "Sweety..." my moms soft voice came from the door. I heard the front door closed and I knew the alpha was gone. "Yes mom." I answered her and she came in. "We know you were listening to us and you shouldn't have..." she said while I stared at her with disbelief. " says the woman who lied to me."I said without realizing what I had said.
My mom slapped me then looked horrified at herself for having hit me. Five seconds from the moment after her hand connected with my cheek I jumped out my second story window and shifted. This time it didn't hurt as much and I ran down the street. I couldn't think and I honestly didn't want to. Just in the past few hours I had shifted and sorta found out I might be the product of rape.*great*I thought sarcasticlly*Just great*
