I could feel the warmth of my blood slide down my weak limbs and onto the dead pine that lay beneath me. My sword was the only thing stopping the warg from pouncing. I backed up slightly till I could no longer feel land behind me. I had reached the cliff. The warg charged but I quickly swung my elvish blade and sliced it's neck open. It fell in a dead heap beside it's orc rider I had shot with an arrow earlier. I picked up my bow and dagger before whistling. A solid black thoroughbred emerged through the dead trees and stopped in front of me. Her name was Aola; Horse of the Night. She is one of the Mearas and has stuck by my side through everything. I climbed onto her saddle and stroked her neck, "Ämōd (ride)."
